Melaleuca - The Wellness Company - I returned the UNWANTED/UNREQUESTED merchandise and NEVER got refunded! I got ripped off big time!!! , California Idaho Falls, Idaho

I closed my account with this company in October/2007 after returning 05 closed (sealed) boxes of UNWNATED and UNREQUESTED merchandise. Up to this day I have NOT been refunded anything for the moneys I paid! They keep sending me letters stating that I have a credit with them, but no money is ever sent to me.


When I called again today, the lady told me that I have a "94.00 credit" to purchase products (duuh!), which is way below what these thieves took from my debit and, said she, that every time they send me a reminders letter it ME 10.00, which is deducted from "my outstanding credit"! This is ridiculous! When she told me that I lost it! I got so livid, I asked her "oh, so your company sends me an UNWANTED piece of paper and I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT???? I don't want your letters, I WANT MY MONEY BACK, which you people are UNLAWFULLY retaining!"


Well, then, help me understand: only when I run out of that "outstanding credit" will I stop receiving "reminder's letters"??? Is that how they work? That's what it sounds like! I also asked her "So Ma'm, what do you expect me to do? Sit here and wait? Or do you want me to go to the Media? Do you? Do you want me to take this to the Media? If that is so, I have no problem with it! You people are THIEVES! You know lady, I work 9 hours a day to make my decent living! I don't steal money from people like your company to make my living! You people should be ashamed of yourselves! Your company should be investigated! All you tell people in those seminars are just a bunch of nothing! It's all fraudulent! I got into this to help a friend build her base and I was misled. I thought I could buy whenever I wanted but no! You guys sent me things I did NOT buy...I paid for, yes, but I did NOT buy! I did NOT need, I did NOT keep, and yet, I have NOT been refunded for! That's STEALING!" I got so mad I even told her I would go to those seminars and unmask Melaleuca to anybody they would try to recruit! I then excused myself and hung up.


This company should be investigated because they are dishonestly and unlawfully taking money from people! I told the lady that, had I retained the mechandise without paying for, it would be considered illegal practice, I would be considered as "stealing" from them, there would be legal actions against me to make me pay, etc, but since I DID NOT retain the products that I HAD NOT ORDERED and yet had paid for them, now, I don't have the products and I don't have the money! So what is this called? For me this is STEALING! Big time! I live in a free country where I can still buy what I need/want, WHEN I need/want and WHERE I chose!


Melaleuca ways are dishonest and tricky because, even If we dont order, they send us merchandise anyway and they are in advantage no matter what because when we receive those UNWANTED PRODUCTS they have already been paid for!


I was stupid not to ask my bank right away not to honor any transaction with Melaleuca! Now, two years later I am still fighting to get my money and what I hear is that my outstanding credit went lower because they send me letters that cost ME 10.00 each!


THIEVES!!! That is what Melaleuca is! Nothing but a bunch of liars and THIEVES!!! I will be happy to see them exposed on 20/20, 60 Minutes, Dateline and ALL OVER THE MEDIA!!! 

I will be happy to see them investigated, penalized and CLOSED forever! I hope the Better Bureau will honor themselves in taking action against this DISHONEST COMPANY: MELALEUCA!!!

When a person enrolls in Melaleuca,they have to sign  a simple enrollment form stating that they are agreeing to purchase 35 points a month (about 50-60 dollars) in products in order to be a preferred costomer. The benefits of being a preferred costomer are really tremendous. If they do not purchase the agreed upon products by the 30th of the month they get a reminder sent..If they still do not purchase their agreed upon 35 points, Melaleuca ships their BACK-UP order that they also agreed upon. IF AT ANY TIME A PERSON WANTS TO QUIT MELALEUCA THEY SIMPLE CALL THE COMPANY AND QUIT.

 The only problem I have with Melaleuca is that they let any moron sign up with out making sure that their IQ is greater then the 35 points they AGREE to purchase.By being a preferred costomer they get their products  at the 30-40% discount price. My wife and I have been with the company just a few months and every month we have a hard time staying under 100 points. We love the products. But we do understand that if for any reason we do not order for the month, we will get our automatic shipment. That will never happen I guarentee you. I am actually proud that I live in a country where someone like this can express themselves. Any other country they would be locked up in an insane hospital as being dangerous to society. When we signed the membership agreement we READ it. I would recommend that you read things before you sign. Only in America.
