I put a listing on Craigslist to sell my Verizon Droid Bionic. I was selling it for 150 dollars(US). I got an email reply from a supposed lady who wanted to buy it from me so she could send it as a gift. At first she gave me little information. Then she told me she would pay 250 dollars(US) and that I would need  to ship it overseas to her friend. At this point I was nearly hooked, the idea of getting a quick dollar for a phone that was worth less than offered. So I gave this "person" my paypal address. It took only two minutes to get an email from PayPal. The email looked legit. But then I looked on my paypal account and did not see any notification of payment. I was confused. Then I went back to my email and there was ANOTHER paypal notification email. This one said pretty much the same thing but it was a different design then the first one. I looked in the emails to see if there were any links to paypal itself to show the pending transactions on my account. There were none. Then I looked at the address that I was supposed to send the phone to. It was address to a Ola Johnson in Mushin Nigeria. I became even more suspicious. So I looked up information on scams in Mushin Nigeria. I found tons of reports. I then did a search for "Ola Johnson, Mushin Nigeria" and I saw a report with that very name, in that very area declaring it a scam.

Word of advice, do no transactions with ANYBODY in Nigeria. Even if comes to you from a family member with a recognized email address. They can send fake emails pretending to be your loved ones.
