In July 2012 (7/23) we paid $100 for signing our only child up for karate at Forever Driven, a subsidiary of Rick Weems Martial Arts. We were signed up for automatic billing through Member Solutions. On Aug 2 MSI took $100 from our account. On Aug 5th, they took another $100 (total taken for Aug $200). When we called them they said the school had "accidentally" created ywo accounts for us. By the 14th, MSI and Forever Driven assured us the problem had been rectified and our $100 was refunded and that this would not happen again. On Sept 1st, we noticed immediately that $100 was deducted from our bank account, and right below that, another debit for $125, both for Forever Driven Karate School by Member Solutions Inc. We called again, this time a bit more annoyed. After much telephone haggling with MSI and the Rick Weems billing secretary, we were told it was not a mistake and we did indeed owe for our July lessons. We then had to go back and show our payment (to them) made on July 23. The school owner called us, although we had to threaten and beg to get him to call, and the bottom line was he said he would have it refunded as a courtesy, even though he said we really did owe it. When challenged to show how we owed it, he sounded like a Time Share sales person. We ended up contacting Member Solutions again, and were told by them that the computer had somehoe created a "phantom" account for us, meaning double accounts, again. We finally demanded to be credited for the double billing and demanding a cancellation of all accounts. That is when they told us we could not cancel we had an agreement with them. We then countered by telling them to sue us, as we could prove on paper that they continually double billed etc. We had to go through our bank and get a new card issued in order to stop their access to our account, because believe it or not, in Oct they debited us yet again. That has been credited back, new card issued, now they are hounding us by telephone because they can no longer access our account. We told them to file suit, as we ar enot paying them anything period. We have changed schools, pay in cash, and are receiving daily phone calls from Member Solutions. We have informed them they do not have permission to call on our cell phones. This company is crooked and we believe the school is as well. The school has known all along what was going on and did nothing to help us. In fact the school owner made us feel cheap, as if our son's lessons were less important than money. He was rude and condecending, and we would not suggest his school(s) to anyone, particularly since he continues to use Member Solutions as his billing company.

Hello texasdeb,

I’m Gabrielle, Customer Service Supervisor for Member Solutions. I apologize for the delayed response to your online review, and appreciate you taking the time to rate Member Solutions.

I am sorry that your payment experience was such an unpleasant one.  I understand that having double payments taken each month could be very damaging to one’s account and difficult to handle other expenses.

I would love the opportunity to follow-up and make your experience a better one but I cannot find your information in our system. If you would be willing, please email me any details you have, along with contact information to: contact@membersolutions.com I hope to hear from you soon.
