Memorial Gallery Took advantage of me after loosing my son by false advertsing Seattle Washington
Memorial Gallery sales products ( if you are not familiar I recently was forced to become familiar) with places and sites like them. They sell cremation urns, jewelry for human remains. Some sits sell for pets as well but it wa made clear to them I was looking for a sprcial piece of jewelry to keep the remains of my son close to me. I made the difficult decision to cremate which was not what I had planned after the state jumped onhis body and did an autopsy and then the funeral home strongly suggested no one lookat the body.
At any rate I have been looking 6 weeks mainly by googling sites. I found a beautiful cross I wanted for 650.00 at their site. Another site had the same cross for much more. I even pasted a picture of the cross fromMemorial.com and asked in e-mail "is this not the same piece?" Memorial Gallery also has their phone # 206-829-8000 and to call anytime which I did, it was 3 in the morning and their answering machine says they are on the other line helping another bereaved family, to leave your name and # and they will call you back in 10 minutes. An hour past and I called them again - same machine.
Meanwhile I e-maild them twice as opposed to placing order as I did have a question. Well as soon as they opened shop on Monday AM after closing on Friday and checked my messages, they reset the price and upped the cross I had asked the question about over 300 dollars, They then returned my call and when I questioned the time line - she said "oh we are a small family owned business and we just say that. We are not really here 24/7 and no one was even here at the time you called." But they sure listen to your mesages, read e-mails and then up prices and then return calls.
When she called, she said she had to call her salesman and ask if the price had gone up. Now help me figure that LIE. When someone sales you something, it is up to then to notify you of a price increase. WhenI called her on this when she told me, she would just tell one lie to get out of another. She called no one. She just saw my mail, listened to my messages, thought she could reel me in as I was mourning and proceeded. They took advantage and kicked me at the lowest point in my life. It was like I had been jabbed in the heart and punched in the gut all over again.
I think this is horrible and glad not many people probably are force to use these types of places off the web. But God forbid, anyone else find themseves in this situation, STAY AWAY FROM THE ONE I WARNED YOU OF. They could care less about the type of business they arein. They want that almighty dollar. I don't know how they hold thier heads up and act like they answer 24/7. You are doing good if they are there 5 hours Monday - Friday.
