To Whom It May Concern:

On or about August 6th, 2014, I visited the Men's Medical Clinic in Tampa, Florida for ED treatment. I was talked into spending $4976.00 for treatment. On the way home from the clinic visit, I spoke with the V.A. Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida about using medication from outside the VA system, and was told strongly that it was not advisable to do so.

As soon as I hung up with the VA medical facility, I called the Men's Medical Clinic in Tampa from my cell phone and spoke with a gentlemen to cancel the order I had just placed, not even an hour earlier. I clearly told them the VA did not approve of my using any medication outside the Veteran's Administration's system, and since I was a disabled vet on a fixed income, I really couldn't afford it anyway.

The gentleman told me he's take care of it, but the next day the shipment of medication arrived at my door while I was out, or I'd have refused delivery. I called several times to get it resolved, but had to leave messages on the Men's Clinic's phone each time, and was not called by anyone from the Men's Clinic.

I contacted my credit card company, U.S. Bank (Visa) and a provisional credit was issued for $4976.00 on August 11, 2014. Since that time I have been in contact with the credit card company regarding a credit, and was repeated told that they would take care of it. Unbeknownst to me on September 12, 2014, the credit card company reinstated the $4976.00 charge to my credit card. When I noticed it, I called and asked why I was again charged for a purchase I did not want, and had returned all the product for.

After a couple of months and repeated phone calls to the credit card company, they said the Men's Clinic would not issue a credit because I hadn't returned the product, which I promptly did at that time, and have delivery receipts to prove it. I had held on to the box of medication for leverage in getting the issue resolved, but had not even opened the box it came in, and had stored it in my refrigerator the entire time.

I have done all that was asked of me by the credit card company and the Men's Medical Clinic, yet I still have nearly $5000 charged to my Visa card, which is acruing interest each month. I have paid off the card except for the $4976.00 charge for the medication. I'm afraid if I pay it off completely I will never see a refund, but at this juncture I don't know what more I can do short of filing a dispute in Small Claims Court.

If there is any leverage you can bring to bear on the Men's Medical Clinic in Tampa, I would greatly appreciate it, because I have my doubts on the effectiveness of the court system here.

Thank you,
