I had purchased a Matag Dryer fron Menards on August 6, 2011 for $649.00 along with the 2 year warranty for a extra $59.97. The dryer now 2years old starting to make a very loud noise, being the the Mfg. warranty had expired, I had the warranty I purchased from Menards,  so I contacted the number in the brochure that was given to at the checkout when I purchased the dryer and extended warranty.

They Contacted a AERO repairman he came out and did what needed to be done to quiet the problem.....Then about 2 months later  the same problem occoured..I called again to have him come out again.

The same repair man came out and said that he would have to call ATM Warranty and that  they might not cover it because the arts are high and he would get back to me. I had to call him and he said,he filed a claim and they would have to give me a new washer that I shoulds call the warranty Company

I spoke with Melanie Pate at 1-817-785-6305.....she first tells me that the cost to repair the dryer is more than the purchase price...that they are going try and locate a new dryer comparable to what I have and she would get back to me.

She called me back and told me they can't find a dryer like mine or comparable to what I have for the price, so they offered me a check for $314.00. Then she goes on to say, that's all I have coming because they took off the 2 servcse calls that the repairman made.

I feel that was there responsibility to pay the repair man that was part of the warranty which I paid $59.95.  Now I'm out the balance of the dryer and the price of the warranty.

This compay is a big rip off....Had I known that's how they work I would have never taken out that warranty, I would have renewed with Maytag. Something has to be done, people don't know whats in that contract and the brochure doesn't explain we are responsible for the repair services.

I purchased a washer from home depot, the bleach dispenser was started to leak causing rut on the exterior. There too I took out the insurance.

I called and set up and appointment  through their warranty which I took out, and the warraranty had 3 months left on it. He came out seen the problem.

He tried yo order the part and come to find out it was discontinued. He called the warranty company told them he was unable to locate the part.

They called me the next day and told me they were going to send me a check for $786.00 because they unable to obtain the part.

I paid $468.00 for the washer new, was almost 3yrs. old when the problem occoured, therefore they sent me a check for the price it would cost today for the same washer. I did purchase another from Home Depot

So I think your stupid. I learned from experience.

Your expectations are stupid and unrealistic. Let me break it down for you. You are making a assumption that the $60.00 you paid for your warrenty is going to replace a $600 setup. Here in lays your issue. Your appliance is two years old. This makes it USED. This means that the value of your unit is NO LONGER $600. It means the value of your appliance is roughly $300. So after 2 years of use from you ,you redeem your warrenty and they are giving you the VALUE of your appliance. Take the money and RUN idiot. You would literally be out $11. They are actually being VERY generous in their offer, most warrenty companies wouldnt give you even half that much.
