Complaint Review: Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills

SCAM ALERT! THIS DEALERSHIP RUNS SCAMS! READ HOW MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS PEOPLE HAVE POSTED ABOUT THE RIDICULOUS, EXCESSIVE WAIT TIMES FOR SERVICE!! My service advisor, Nick Rempel, was very nice, efficient and professional...he’s the only reason for the second star I gave them in my multiple other reviews. That’s where anything good stops. This dealership is set up to run rackets. This is a complete setup. They leased me my car as a demo, but when I went to pick it up, they all of a sudden had just barely noticed a giant 18 inch dent in it…surrrpriiiise surprise! Nonsense. They did promise to fix it, and they did follow through, but it was much later and they sent a guy to my house to massage the dent out. They knew full well the dent was there and they hid it from me. They also promised me a full detail after that, that never happened. I dropped my car off on Friday morning at 7:45A at the dealership.... SIX DAYS LATER.... LET ME REPEAT THAT, IT TOOK THEM S-I-X DAYS TO COMPLETE AN OIL CHANGE. ANYONE SEEING A PATTERN HERE IN THE REVIEWS? I was in the service area waiting for them to bring my car around after having been GOUGED $415 for an oil change! Let me repeat that, I paid $415 for an oil change, and by the way, they charge you to wash your car when you bring it in for service. That’s after I had to talk them down from $659 and found out they had just thrown in a bunch of nonsense charges for nonsense "services” this is so PREDATORY. They literally charge you for a car wash when you bring in your leased vehicle for service.

I brought my car in for the second service on Friday morning, first thing…that’s a one hour, twenty minute drive for me in the morning from Tujunga... Wednesday afternoon, I was able to pick it up.... *****SIX DAYS FOR AN OIL CHANGE***** These shady predators set it up so that you are out with their car for several days hoping that something negative happens to their car. If I am forced to utilize the only car you have given me for six days while a routine oil change is taking place, there is a 600% chance that something might happen to that car. They are banking on that fact. Read the other reviews on here, many other people have stated that these people have shown excessive wait times for simple routine work to be conducted. I took their loaner to the grocery store and when I came out there were a few minor scratches on the passenger side front door. They are now pressuring me to give them $1000 upfront, and they are saying that it will cost more than $1000, and they are saying that they can only take it to their body shop and I can’t get an estimate from mine. I am telling them that I’m not going to pay them a penny until I at least see an estimate, they are still trying to force me to give them $1000 upfront.

Absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely unprofessional. This place gouges you in every way they can. This is a setup... they set you up so that they can find any excuse to charge your insurance for damage to their vehicle so that they can lease the vehicle out and move it more quickly. I will not stand for this. Thank goodness I have an excellent lawyer… I imagine he’s going to have fun with these deceitful, predatory business practices.
