Complaint Review: MERCHANT LYNX SERVICES

I was taken by a salesman who offered my lower rates and a brand new machine for my restaurant 60 months ago. I signed the contract, and realized I made a big mistake when I later received the debit from my checking account for $66.00 a month for the machine, $10 a month for the paper, $89 a year for service fee. I did pay this for the 60 months because I just could not figure out how to get out of the lease and contract.

I returned the machine one month before the lease was up. Now I am dealing with Merchant Lynx to try to stop the credit card processing fees they automatically debting from my checking acccount. I tried to cancel through my bank and the bank said I have to cancel through Merchant Lynx.

I faxed the Close Proccesing Account form 5 times already, and the account is never closed. They keep taking the $10 out of my account each month, and for the last 3 months they did it double. I cannot stop them.

When I call they tell me the manage is out or on the other line. I am so frustrated I feel like closing my bank account so they cannot access my account. Then when I read the form to close the account it says they can continue charging me the $10 plus $350 cancellation fee because in the fine print of the original contract that was for 60 months it says it automatically renews for another 36 months unless I cancelled before it renewed.

I never new there was a contract on credit card processing. I thought the contract was on the lease for the machine. I don't have a machine and I don't use their processing any longer. I went to another company when Merchant Lynx kept raising their rates and putting half my charges through as Non Qualified. There is no way of proving to me or them what the cards were when they were swiped. Non Qualifed rates are almost triple regular rates.

Please help me to stop them from debting my Bank Acccount for these charges on an account I do not use or have any longer. I am my wits end.
