I am embarassed, ashamed and feel so stupid. I fell for a scam - I got the info off of a fax machine at work. I phoned and inquired and felt pressured and said I would call back if I got it ok'ed by my spouse. The pressure should have been my red flag but no I went ahead and called back and allowed them to charge about $806 on my credit card. I don't even know much about the company! It is a "dream vacation" to Fort L, Orlando, a cruise to the Bahama's and a trip to Vegas. There are many complaints about the exact same thing through the Ramada Plaza Resorts... but nothing in regard to the Meridian Marketing group. The similarities were enough - I decided I wanted to cancel and be refunded but was told I was told the trip was non-refundable and I should just give the trip a chance. I quoted Florida laws and told them I didn't realize hidden costs such as a rental car etc. and insisted I get my money back. I asked for their fax number so I could fax this to them and they refused to even provide that to me. It has been less than 30 days since I bought this. I WANT OUT!!! I wish I knew more details of the company but do not. Their toll free number to book was 1-800-736-3416. Their customer service number is 1-800-326-1092. The "travel agent" I booked through was "Steve" and the customer service rep who also claimed he was the manager claimed his name was "Mark Jones" of Meridian Marketing Group. I bought the package on 09/05/06. In Orlando we are supposed to stay and the Quality Inn and in Fort Lauderdale at Ramada Paradise Beach Resort and then cruise Bahamas on Regal Empress. The Vegas Vacation bonus is a stay at the Stratosphere....

Can someone help me get a refund and cancel this trip?????

Customers should have all the facts before they complain

I own this company and have been in business since 2001 we have a satisfactory record with the BBB and the State of Florida. I do not apperciate being called a scam. Most people that file complaints are usally out to blame everyone but themselves for a purchase that they decided they made. We do not call anyone they call us and are given all the details of the trip they are purchasing. We do not pressure anyone to make a purchase that is decided by the customer. The products that our company sells is fullfilled by name brand hotels and cruise lines.
Customers fail to mention that they recieve extra vacations and extra nights at no charge. We have traveled well in excess of 50000 trvelers in the last eight years. We have never sold any customer and not given them what was promissed to them. We are the only ones that are scammed by consumers that write information that is not true and do not have all the facts.
