 I have tried for almost 2 months to get a policy cancelled through the Health Insurance Market Place and Meritus Health Partners without sucess.  Both enitities keep saying they are waiting on the other to do something.  Their customer service people have no athourity or visability to solve any problem.  I have spent more then 6 hours on the phone with these jokers and am still getting billed.

Thier escalation system is down more often then a call girls panties.  If you are going to go through the Health Insurance Marketplace (HIM) make sure you do not go with any healthcare plan offered by Meritus.  The Phoenix office does not have the depth of resources or intelligence to manage the day to day activities necessary to service insurance policies for peoples healthcare needs.

 If you end up needing to use the policy, you will undoughtibly realize where the death panel resides.  It is within the Meritus organization and the managers that are not competant enough to set policy that is rooted in the real world needs of its policy holders.

The phrase "Effective as a one legged man at an a$$ kicking contest" comes to mind after long useless conversations with their staff.

Bottom line:  If you need health care through Meritus...you going to die.
