Merrick Bank, Nexcard ripoff, started with 2% interest, now 27%, theives, lenders who create bankruptcys Old Bethpage, New York Internet
Had a nextcard at 2%, then went to 12%, told to close account, transferred to merrick bank, claimed nextcard when bankrupt, HAH, Then started pawnshop type interest.
I asked for them to review my account because I do not have poor credit and they marble mouthed and left it at high interest.
I will willingly join any legal actions against these bozo's. These are the type of people who push poor people into failure because of their greed. That does not apply to me and I almost have them paid off. Also watch www.advanta.com for up to 29.99 % interest

Merrick Bank, My Hands are Tied

My Nextcard was transfered to Merrick Bank last year and not the interest rate. When I got my first statement from Merrick my interest rate shot up to 27%. When I contacted Merrick they sent me a letter that the reason was my current credit load. Not bad credit, but the number of accounts that I had. This was there reason for the high rate.
Howerver they had sense then raised credit limit for a good payment history but had not lowered the interest rate. If there is a class action law suite against Merrick Bank I would like to be a part of it.
