I was laid off and thought I had found the answer to finding the next great job -- with Sandra Trappen at the Merrill Adams Group in West Conshohocken, PA. I signed a contract and paid $4500 -- a loan taken from my husband's 401K -- and promised within 6 months, I'd have a job over my last salary, possibily near $100K.
I got one resume that has been trashed by every recruiter that was willing to comment, got none of the services promised, and 4 months into the deal, a call from the counselor that the owner, Charles Timmins, had died the previous fall and his wife as executrix of the estate was closing the office.
Per that call, it was my tough luck and I should try to find out who the executrix was (he wouldn't tell me!) and sue the estate for my money. It's taken me nearly 3 years to find out this is a ruse they use to change their name. They've done the same dance under the name The Timmins Group and Raphael Group of PA since then.
So watch out for Sandra Trappen (a councilwoman in New Hope, PA) and Charles Timmins -- still out there and ready to bilk you too!
