There is another report in this website, report # 348858, titled "Summit Financial Inc./Fidelity International Lotto/slidcuicuir Awards I recieved a check for $4,890.00 and a letter stating that I had won $250,000.00 from a sweepstakes They wanted me to then Western Union them $2,970.00", you should read regarding this company and its alias, Merritt Financial. I just summitted (7/22/08) a report titled "Merrit Financial Inc. In Partnership with Fidelity International And Anchorbank FSB, Sheila Harris, Kart Louis Notification of winning $250,000, a check for $4,815.00 for taxes of $2,970, after calling agent, Kart lewis, signed Sheila Harris."

I experienced essentially the same letter as the person in the first report, and luckily found his report on this website, checked with my bank as well, and have a detailed description of the letter/check in my report. I am only posting this to link the two reports, since mine is in the Lotto category and his is in the Miscellaneous Companies category on this site, and they are not presently linked. I do not have a number assigned to my posting as yet, but copy and paste my title, and you can put it in the search. The other victim's number will suffice to find his report. I hope this will be helpful to other victims of this scam.
