Met-Ed FirstEnergy Corp Outage left unfixed over 6 full days Reading Pennsylvania
Met-Ed is monopoly power supplier in Blue Mountan communtinty in East Stroudsburg . From noon of March 2 2018 we have no electricity in the house. And estimate fixing time is Wed March 7 11pm! Primary residence without heater (24F outside), sewer ,food reserve in refrigerator gone (who will compensate it?!) and I not able to go to hotel because I have 2 cats and dog with me ! They’re old and great chance to became sick after temperature in the house dropped off. Me already catch fever and cold ! Fireplace on propane working 24 / 7 , who will pay for gas bill ! And moreover, is not even guaranteed they’re will restore power on Wed! Now tell me, is this is part of Unated State or is wild outlaw jungle ?! We forced here to use such a service because there’re monopoly! I just bough house here 6 months ago, I natively leaves over 20 years in NYC, we had power outage , is nature but it been fixed in no time, even after Sandy! What happen here?! What kind of "emergency service” is left people in dark and cold for 6 days in winter?!

They just complete restoration of power instead of promised March 7 11pm. So total without power we been 48 hrs . Understandable because heavy storm hit . I appreciate MetEd to fix it early when Wednesday , and I appreciate ripoffreport for concern , it was last hope to get somebody attention , we had terrible situation without power ! Thanks you all!
