I've been with  MetLife auto insurance for several years with a solid payment history and no claims.  Several months ago, I was rear-ended by a hit and run driver.  The vehicle damage was minor, but I suffered from whiplash and needed medical care.  Even though I have medical payments coverage, Metlife denied my claim.  I'm now responsible for over $4,000 in bills.  Please beware of MetLife Auto Insurance.  They do not pay their claims.

What reason did they give?

Do you have separate health insurance that they expect has primary responsibility to pay the bills?

If they're not giving you a rational explanation for denial, sick your state agency overseeing insurance companies on them. All of them do this. Deny deny deny, hoping you won't take it further.

If there's any conflict between them and your health insurer, request that state agency butt their heads together.
