 I have had Metlife on my auto home and RV a little over a year. FEB 24 I traded in my truck. On the way home I had a flat just south of Denver in rush hour traffic. Metlife informed me they do not offer a grace period and would not cover the tow. I gave them the info for my new truck but they said they won't cover until I call during office hours. The next day I called and they said I am covered. They continued to draw from my Chase Visa and increased the amount of the monthly withdrawl. Then I got a notice of. Cancellation for failure to pay, dated to January. So I called my Insurance agent who looked on the Metlife site and verified I was driving around uncovered. I called Chase and had them dispute the automatic withdrawl back to January since Metlife was.not covering me. They verified through my insurance agent they were not covering me and I have an email from my agent stating they told her they would refund the monies. So imagine my surprise on May 06 when I got a debt collection call from CSS on behalf of Metlife for unpaid debt... Metlife put my safety and public safety at risk. They should be shutdown for their incompetence.
