Metric Media Nasty phone scam to get credit card numbers Las Vegas? metricmedia.net
Received a phone call from (702) 944-8444. Recorded message said my Merrill Lynch debit card had been hacked and I needed to do something about it. Not having a Merril Lynch account I thought I'd play along. They wanted me to enter the account number. I tried some baloney but couldn't get past the recording.
I called back and was not surprised when it wsas NOT Merill Lynch. Another ecording for "Metric Media". All options led npwhere, but they did say go to their website: www.metricmedia.net. This sight is non-existent.
Beware. They are after credit card numbers under false pretenses.
