I had a 2004 Kia Sorento that was under warranty, and the thing ran like garbage and squeaked like crazy. It was in the shop time after time, and the mechanics could not solve the problem. We were frustrated witht his vehicle from day 1,and since we bought it used from a different dealership they weren't all that excited about servicing our vehicle.

The business manager even went as far as to say that my wife just didn't know how to drive a standard and thats why the vehicle did not run properly. They finally offered to get us into something new at a "really good deal". They had offered to pay out our existing loan on the lemon we already had in order to get us into something new. Sounded like a good deal to us.

It turns out that we owed $500 more than they were going to offer us for trade. They had a promotion on for a $500 dollar gas card and said we could sacrifice it for the extra 500 on the lein. We figured this was a good deal. Turns out that they didn't even discount the $500 dollars for the gas card.

As well it turns out they gave us $5000 less for the trade in that we thought we were getting on the original offer to purchase. They added abunch of extra charges with chicken scratch pen marks onto the contract after the signing was complete and said the numbers were just to "make the bank happy".

We had given them a deposit on the vehicle, so we were basically stuck in this deal as very unhappy customers. Basically they took advantage of our lack of knowledge and got away with robbery. I have been told that this sort of thing happens all the time, but there has to be something I can do to stop business flow to this dealership.

If i can stop someone from getting screwed like we did then my mission is accomplished. The owner even has gone as far as to threaten to sue for slander as we displayed on the vehicle how unhappy we were with the deal. I understand that I wont be getting my money back, I just want this shady organization to pay for what they have done in the manner of me voicing what they have done to me. Am i allowed to voice this on my vehicle????

not to mention part of the deal was that we were going away on friday and we needed the vehicle by then. the deal was completed on the Tuesday we waited and waited until that Friday due to problems with Kia financing to hear back if financing had gone through. We had enough of waiting and decided that we could not wait any longer and did not want the vehicle anymore. We found out that they would not give us our deposit because their main concern was that we found a vehicle elsewhere. We had stated that we needed the vehicle to go away on the Friday. We had asked for our deposit back before we knew if financing had gone through. As far as I am concerned financing is part of the deal, that is a deal breaker as we stated we needed the vehicle by the Friday. It was when the police were called and the constable showed up that the business manager brought out the approval and this was about 5 hours too late and we were forced to cancel our weekend trip due to this whoile fiasco.
