I purchased a "Heirloom" from the Laura Ashley Home Mattress Collection from Metro Mattress in Webster, NY. I purchased on 02/03/2009, I received delivery of it on 02/05/2009. The purchase price for the item was $1699.00

When the delivery people showed up and came into the house I requested that they removed there shoes. It was snowing, their shoes were covered in snow and salt that the highway department puts down during the winter. They said "No". As soon as this happened I should have refused delivery. I just all the carpet in my house professionally steam cleaned the day before. After they put the mattress in our frame and are leaving they said " It is our policy that we do not take the clear plastic, you have to dispose of it".

I get on the computer so I can go to Metro Mattress website to see what the policies truly are. I am surprised to see current promotion "Good Through February, 25 2009" --- "PRESIDENTS' DAY HALF OFF SALE! Going on Now! At all 34 stores!! No Gimmicks, No Tricks _ Genuine & Real 50% off savings! No Payments & No Interest until Jan. 2010

These 50% off were on Vera Wang by Serta, LAURA ASHLEY HOME MATTRESS COLLECTION and Simmons Beautyrest. I immediately called the store and asked for the Manager. I told the manager the problem figuring that it would have been taken care of since just about any other place will price match there own sales for 30 days after purchase.

Manager Carl told me that it is a new promotion that started yesterday (02/04/09). I asked why wasn't I informed about this promotional add, he replied, "Why would you be" He said there is nothing that he will do about it. I ask for the Metro Mattress customer service headquarters phone number and he gives it to my without hesitation almost like it was memorized because of complaints that were received throughout the day.

I call the number he gives to me and informed the lady that answered the phone the problem and she transfers me to customer service. I was immediately greeted with a voice mail saying that the customer service rep was on vacation until February 16, 2009. I hang up and call back and ask if I can be transferred to someone that can help me with the problem, she said no that he is the only person that they have for customer service. She then said she would give me the phone number of the Rochester Sales Manager, but he is also on vacation today.

So I call back the store that I purchased from and once again spoke to "Manager" Carl. He continued to give me a oh well, too bad attitude. I asked when wouldn't they honor the sale that they are offering. He said you purchased that mattress for comfort and if I didn't want to spend as much($1699.00) I should have looked at other mattress's that were cheaper. Everything I tried to question him on he said " You got a great mattress, at a great price". I said your aren't going to do anything for me, he replied I might be able to give you a free pillow.

This just about sent me over the edge. I could tell in his voice he was getting a kick out of me being angry. Probably smiling and laughing to himself. He was VERY unprofessional and downright rude

I purchased mattress for $1699.00, currently it is on sale for $849.50

Any reputable business honor's there price, even after purchase.

I am warning to AVOID all Metro Mattress stores. They are located throughout New York state. Mainly in Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo.

Do a search and you will see the complaints that this company receives

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
