ON 7/4/2014 I PURCHASED A PHONE FROM A METRO PCS STORE AND PAID FOR A MONTHS OF SERVICE AND WAS NEVER ASKED ABOUT BUYING ANY INSURANCE FOR THE PHONE. ON 7/7/2014 MY NEW PHONE WAS STOLEN AND THE ACCOUNT WAS PLACED ON SUSPENSION. WHEN I GOT ASNOTHER PHONE TO PLACE ON THE ACCOUNT I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I DIDNT HAVE ANY INSURANCE THAT WHOEVER STOLE MY PHONE WOULD BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE IT ONCE I REMOVED IT FROM MY ACCOUNT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE TO GO TO A CORPORATE STORE AND THAT THEY COULD ENTER THE SERIAL NUMBER FROM THE PHONE ON THE DO NOT ACTIVATE LIST AS ITS A STOLEN PHONE. I HAVE NOW BEEN TO THE CORPORATE STORES THREE DIFFERANT TIMES AND THEY SAY THAT THEY CANT DO ANYTHING TO CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND THEY WOULOD HANDLE IT. AS IT STANDS AT THIS POINT I HAVE A METRO PCS ACCOUNT THAT I HAVE A MONTHS OF SETRVICE PAID FOR THAT I CANT USE AND MONEY PAID OUT FOR A SERVICE A CANT USE I HAVE SPOKEN TO A FEW OTHERS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH METRO PCS AND IT APPEARS THAT METRO PCS HAS A REALLY GOOD SCAM GOING FOR RIPPING OFF THEIR CUSTOMERS. THE PEOPLE ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINES CANT BE UNDERSTOOD HALF OF THE TIME AS ENLISH IS NOT THEIR PRIMARY LANGUAGE.

First you can stop with the lying. We ALL know that YOU were offered the insurance. How do I know this?? Because, employees get a SMALL cut of that warrenty on their paycheck. So each and every person who has purchased a cellphone since the inception of the smart phone has been offered insurance. Its called INCENTIVE or if you prefer COMMISION. Which means that YOU were offered the warrenty and declined it. NOW that YOU have an issue, you conveniently forget that it was not only offered to you, but was suggested MANY times. YOU were TOO CHEAP to buy the warrenty for whatever reason. Now that it has been established that YOUR memory is faulty, lets get onto your service issue. YOU signed an agreement. YOU lost the phone. YOU are STILL bound by the agreement. Hence you must STILL pay. Is it very fair?? NOPE!!!! But it is what it is. I would suggest to YOU that when ever YOU are offered a warrenty YOU TAKE IT!!!!!!!! A warrenty is NOT a "piece of mind" item, it IS a "oooops I screwed up" warrenty. Such as dropping your phone in water. Not keeping a protective case on your phone. Ect ect ect. What YOU should take from this is A) You suffer from CRS...which is short for cant remember s**t and that YOU wish to gamble with your devices, which IS your choice. But while unfortunate for you, YOU still have to pay on your service, Im thinking that YOU are NOT paying for the service but for the PHONE ITSELF!!! Which would make sense given that they have asked for YOU to continue paying.
