Metro PCS WRONGFULLY DISCONNECTED METRO PCS DOES NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE Atlanta Georgia

I had to go out of town and while I was away a friend of mine dropped my payment in the drop box inside the Metro PCS store in the Equitable Building in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, the day my payment was due. Despit this, my service and my daughter's service was disconnected, and 5 days later, remains disconnected.

I have called customer service numerous times, and the few times where I wasn't disconnected or told I've reached a nonworking # or that I can't be transferred to an agent, I spoke to several non-customer service agents, and even held 20 minutes to speak to a supervisor, only to be told that they could not find the payment, and that there was no phone # to the store, and that I had to physically go into the store, which I explained to them, with traffic it would take me an hour to get there each way. The supervisor just said, oh, well, sorry.

Meanwhile, 5 days later our service is still disconnected, with no recourse, and no way to inquire as to why without taking a two-hour drive. It's disgusting the way this company treats their customers and I would not recommend them to anyone.

From the MetroPCS web site....

Is there a grace period for making payments?
In order to ensure continued use of your MetroPCS service, you must pay for the service by your due date. If you do not pay for your service by the due date, your service will be suspended until the payment is made.

What happens if I forget to pay?
If you forget to make a payment by your due date, your service will be temporarily suspended until a payment is made. If you don't make a payment for two consecutive due dates, your service will be disconnected. Your phone number may be given away and if you choose to re-activate, you will be charged a reconnect fee.

So if your service was actually disconnected you had already missed a payment. This is not the fault of MetroPCS, but you because you were already behind.

As to your friend..are you are sure that they dropped it off. If they used the Drop Box it says it takes up to 48 hours to post to your account. So if the location was closed at the time or after they process them on Saturday it would not have been processed until Monday which means it would post until Wed. If you needed it to post immediatly you could have Gone on-line to pay it or have your friend go into the store and have the associates pay it in person.

You obviously have access to the Web and it took a 30 second search on the MetroPCS web site to find this information as well as the Phone Number for the location in question (770) 734-4900
