When vetting a contractor ask for a list of customers where things went wrong.  Contact these references; ask what went wrong and how the contractor resolved the problem.  Any company worth their salt should be able to produce a list of satisfied customers.  A great rule of measure is how contractors solve problems.

Let’s face it, “stuff happens” all the time.  The professional contractor will remedy or resolve issues in a timely manner.  The following report “Metroplex Roof And Fence Metroplex Roof And Fence Horrible Roofing Experience! BEWARE! They Will Take Your Insurance

Check And Not Complete The Work! Corinth, Texas” found here:  http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Metroplex-Roof-And-Fence/Corinth-Texas-76210/Metroplex-Roof-And-Fence-Metroplex-Roof-And-Fence-Horrible-Roofing-Experience-BEWARE-Th-924448  exemplifies the companies work ethic.

The company uses an ill written contract, one which attempts to bind the client into using Metroplex Roof and Fence in exchange for a “free estimate” The contract supports the fact that the company is only interested in INSURANCE money.  The owner, Chuck Fairchild, touts his insurance adjuster’s license as his authority to negotiate with your insurance company.  These actions border on criminal if not teeter over the line into out and out criminal.

They slap a roof up in a day, call it good, collect your money, run do not walk to the bamk with your check, and block your number from their accepted calls.  If you are able to make contact with them to report a leak you are either told, they have no reference of you as a customer, or that your roof doesn’t leak.  Either way it is not their problem.

Before hiring this company, do triple research.  You may find that the custom homes business the owner was in prior to becoming a roofing company went belly-up after building less than 10 homes.  You just might also learn that his mommy footed the bill for that company.

Metroplex Roof & Fence have very few employees, yet they appear to be a large company.  A more accurate interpretation is that their sales force is independent contractors 1099 individuals, and their crews are all subcontractors  making Metroplex Roof & Fence more of a general contractor than a roofing or fence company.
