Metropolitan Lottery Commission fraudulent lottery scam emotionally traumatizing Ripoff Novascotia Halifax Nova Scotia
I am writing about the fraudulent scam by Metropolitan Lottery Commision. The whole story started with coming back from my Thanksgiving break, and sorting my bulk of mail on my bed.
I came across a strange letter that looked like it contained a check with my name on it. I proceeded to open it and read outloud the note enclosed. I was informed that I was a winner of the Metropolitan Lotto held in London, England.
However I did continue reading onwards because I signed into a dozen lotteries over that past week, and maybe I had signed for this one too. The letter read that my name was attached to a serial number with a few lucky numbers that were randomly drawn.
As I read further, I soon lost it altogether. I was so happy, I called my parents, my grandmother, and I took six of my friends out to dinner on me. I couldn't help but spend money left right and center, seeing as how I had just won $98,000.
Yet after a long night, and numerous calls to the number the next morning to claim my money, a friend of mine recieved a similar letter in the mail. I was shocked, I was not alone in the winnings, or it was a scam.
As it turned out, it was a scam, I looked into www.google.com to find this company, and soon read that it was no more than a fraud, a fake lottery, a total rip off. I was taken aback, there were no words to describe how I felt at that moment.
How could people be so cruel? I especially needed the money right now to cover the cost of college as well as spend some on my Christmas gifts this year. I can't believe I wasted so much money on that dinner to celebrate something fake.
