Complaint Review: MEYROCORP

Virus pretends to be microsoft, puts a virus on pc and requires you to purchase software before you can access internet again. Overwrote Norton Anti-virus and blocked all attempts to get any other Anti-virus software. After I provided the required Visa Card info including the security numbers on the back of the card, then the software downloaded. As I rebooted and tried to get to my e-mail the operation of my pc became more and more encumbered. (Eventually it had to be taken to tech support and reformatted.) Quickly after the dowm load of the software and access key, I called the credit card company and explained that I thought that this might be a case of phishing so it was decided to mark the card as lost, accept no more charges and have a new card issued. Since then, I have put the charge in dispute and maybe we can see who tries to collect the money.
