MGM Universal Timeshares UNIVERSAL FINANCIAL GROUP Consumer Fraud, Internet
I was contacted by David Spencer by phone on Nov 25, 2009, who said he had TWO Pre-approved buyers for $23,500 for the sale of our timeshare. He knew all of the pertinent information about our timeshare. He said the $1,798 charge was ONLY for the Transfer of DEED & Legal Fees & there was no commission involved for selling & the buyers will pay all closing costs. He said it would be sold in a few days and we would be getting a certified check by FED EX. As of today, it has been 4 months & still no check.
I was also charged $53.94 for a foreighn transaction fee because they ran my credit card thru Santo Domingo & I had nothing to do with a foreign country. MGM also promised time & time again that this charge would be credited to my credit card, but 4 months later still no credit.
Monthly follow up was done by me to check on status & told again that they had pre-approved buyers & the sale was just a few days away. I also talked with a Steven Henderson several times and just recently spoke with a Jennifer Stone. WHAT A SCAM BY THIS COMPANY!!!
I am also disputing the charges with my credit card company because of the consumer fraud in handling the sale of my timeshare by MGM Universal Timeshares AKA Universal Financial Group.
I just found out about RipoffReport.com & found several complaints about this company. Thank goodness for this website to report consumer fraud that is all over the internet and phone services.
We have to close down this business so it doesn't keep on doing this to other people.
