I have been trying to get employed by Miami-Dade County for the past 7 years. I am a 36 year old male with Cerebral Palsy. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami.

Two years ago, I was contacted by a young guy saying he got my Resume and that he wanted to discuss some job possiblities with me. He contacted my job counselor that I was working with at the time to be there. My job counselor is also disabled.

When we arrived to the Miami-Dade County Building, we were told to go up to 23rd Floor. When we got there we were taken to a conference room. In the conference room, we were given some talk about the Miami-Dade County has a hiring quota for disabled individuals. After that 35 minute talk me and my job counselor looked at each other and said, you called us for this s*it? We got our stuff and left.
