Michael Aaron Bushey Michael Bouchier, Cytelx Cytelx installs spyware so they can "fix" your computer, Michael Bushey Long Beach, California
We had "Cytelx" come out to our office to set up our computers. He was recommended by a guy in our office who we later found out was having a sexual relationship with Mr. Michael Bushey, the computer technician. First off, Mr. Bushey would not accept credit card, only cash or a check made out to cash. He also lied about his real name, calling himself
"Michael Bouchier", only later we found out it was Bushey. It wasn't a big deal, but that along with the unwillingness to have a traceable way to pay was fishy. We then found out that Mr. Bushey had taken the
liberty to wipe expensive software off of our computers without notifying us then later when we told him that he was not supposed to even touch the software outside of setting up drivers and such, he offered to sell us pirated copies of Windows (which he had uninstalled) that were downloaded from the internet at a discount.
He spent a total of about 12 hours over 3 days "fixing" our computers, all the while playing on the internet, which later, we found out he was searching forums for answers because he didn't actually know what he was doing. He also agreed to charge us a flat $400 but later said that since he was there 3 days, we owed him over $2k. I contacted the BBB who
had never heard of his company before, so we had an attorney try to find out where he was really doing business and found out that he is actually working through another law firm, Pacific Associates in Orange County, or at least that's who he's using to front his so-called business.
After learning that he wasn't a real company, we did due diligence (something we should have done first) and learned that Mr. Bushey has 3 reported domestic assaults, an aggravated sexual assault and was suspected of child molestation in another state. This concerned us to the point that we no longer wanted Mr. Bushey anywhere near our office.
We decided to just cut our losses and never again hire someone based on referral without doing a background check and making sure that they aren't a sex offender or a scam artist.
