Michael Darcy Financial/Paul Sagers Personal Loan Scam Oakville, Ontario
I was approved for a "$6,500 loan" and was given the option to secure the loan with a co-signer, collaterol, or a security deposit. I chose to go with the security deposit. I sent an $815.00 security deposit and awaited my loan to be deposited into my account. The money never came. When I called to see what the problem was, I was then told that an error was made in the finance department and I needed to send an additional $750.00. I should have known then that this was a scam, but I am a single mom, and I was in a car accident and need to loan to get a new vehicle. I sent the extra money anyways under the impression that the loan amount would be in my account in no less then 12 hours. It wasn't and I was then facing eviction because the money that I sent was all that I had. When I asked for a refund they told me it would take 12 days. I never got that either. I want my $1,550 back!
