I can't say for sure that what the person wrote in this report is 100% true. However, I will say that there is something about IAG that does not pass the smell test.

I worked at IAG for about 8 months. Got let go when I was accused of committing fraud. But I never committed fraud. The people who actually fired me said they didn't believe I would have either. But the order to fire me came from up-top. From Michael Weinsoff himself I was told.

While there I saw a few other people get fired for fraud. In some cases, it was obvious that they were guiilty. But in a few other cases, it seemed more than a tad suspicious. No real investigations were made. Just "you committed fraud" and out the door one goes.

Weinsoff's modus operandi for getting sales is this: He gets his leads (usually the cheapest ones possible), has the people working for him follow and get them, then he sells them to the schools (most likely at inflated prices).

As one of my co-workers pointed out, the mian reason IAG exists is because of the Do Not Call law. Otherwise, the schools would be calling prospective candidates directly.

About those leads, a good majority of them go to people who have no interest in going back to school, people who are looking to go back to school but have already picked a school and are looking for a way to acquire scholarships or grant money. Then there's those that are not prime candidates to go back to school because they are in their 70s-80s.

Yes, many of those leads go to senior citizens because of the way they are acquired.  They're acquired through the internet and they come from people who clicked on ad banners, people who entered sweepstakes or contests etc. Even job sites like Monster and Careerbuilder work with them.

So is Weinsoff guilty of fraud in his lead generation? I can't say as I have no proof that he is or isn't, Is he guilty of firing people for no legitimate reason or a trumped up one? Yes. Is his modus operandi smelly? Yes. But I have no proof that he's a crook. In essence, he's a real-world Gordon Gekko. His mentality is very much "Greed is good. Greed works".
