As a consumer I am enacting my 1st amendments rights as well as any other rights that protect me against civil or other forms of retaliation.

Well sign me up for Michael Mackert's class of the absurd and ridiculous. A man who claims to have graduated with a doctorate in three years from MSU must be a genius, so if he is such a genius then why the discrimination, the violation of civil rights, the withholding of academic services when asked for them, the bias, rudeness, mean attitude, and ostracizing?

His class that I took easily focused on slogans and creative campaigns as it states in one of the University of Texas's blogs featured on their website. Sounds easy right? So, as a consumer whom has plenty of training in art, photography, music, and a background in many other diverse areas as well as having colleagues and mentors in the profession of art, film, health, and business industries, why did I get the feeling that there was only one acceptable method? That every time I said something I was going to be harassed or snubbed. Well because that is what really happened, and then there was discrimination. Why did I get a feeling that as an ethnic minority and being part of another taboo minority status in a conservative city and conservative state, that it was okay for the other conservative student's to have ideas but my ideas were always wrong, that it was wrong for me to even speak, that doesn't make sense, that isn't fair, that isn't equal opportunity.

Not only that but he refused to grade my work objectively and as to provide help, he didn't provide feedback on specifics, he didn't provide assistance, and he didn't provide his knowledge for enhancement so that I might do better. This perpetuated ostracism with the rest of the classmates whom noticed his hateful and discriminatory behaviors towards me which then perpetuated imitation of his behaviors by classmates. 'Monkey see, Monkey do'. If the professor can get away with hatred and bias then so can the classmates and therefore they did.

In the process I was removed from a group project without rhyme or reason. I was NOT given DUE PROCESS. I was not given explanations. I was not given the chance to improve. I was not given feedback by the professor. I was not treated with dignity and respect by my fellow classmates or Michael Mackert. He also refused to provide information to tell me what I did wrong in any assignment. That's very strange that he would be intentionally undermining me. I wonder what sort of agenda was going on with his Fascist superiors that allowed him and instructed him to do so.

When I complained to him about discrimination, and no I did not ask him for money, no I did not ask the university for money, no I did not ask him to inflate my grades, all that I needed was to be included and part of the classroom experience and to be given the opportunity to learn. He refused to provide action and information to help me, in fact he yelled at me that "he would not help me" and when another malicious liar student was displeased with me in an out of class experience, he instantly without hesitation helped out that conniving biased classmate to punish me through The Dean of Student's Office, in which I later was forced to leave the classroom.

In my opinion manipulativeness to cause harm, lacking in conscience, evilness, and Machiavellianism are the ways of Micheal Mackert, those behaviors are permitted and condoned in The Advertising Department due to the lack of ethics, shroud of evil supervisors, and select racism/homophobia/ethnic hatred. If Mackert does it to one person, such as myself that didn't fit his agenda or his liking, then he will do that to others. It is a sign of very low quality, very low self regard, and evilness. People of his personality see those mean and pitiful traits as virtues and or they do not see them as harmful and damaging, that is his major flaw that will some day work against him.

The Advertising Scam Department and The very unethical feminist Dean of Graduate School Dr. Rodriguez might protect the bias, Machiavellianism, violation of civil rights, Fascism, Female Chauvinism, and deep seated hatred for differences now, however, true intellectuals do no such things, as true intellectuals show respect, dignity, engage in two way fair conversations, and try to make things right for those whom have been wronged or believed to have been wrong, they also extend an equal opportunity for due process which was never given to me.

In a blog posted on The University of Texas's website by Elisabeth McKetta, it pridefully states that Michael Mackert was more than once confused to be a student. I personally thought he was in his early fifties seeing as how old and balding he appears.

"Mackert talks about knowing your audience. What works for one won't work for all. In the classroom, Mackert subscribes to this same philosophy" states McKetta in her Blog about Mackert.

In my opinion Mackert's philosophy is about contradictions, lies, digression, and bias, as a professor he needs to be 'hand held' and 'spoon fed' from indoctrinated classmates that tell him what he wants to hear, this demented philosophy is prevalent through out The University of Texas at Austin.

I also find it incredibly strange that a spotlight blog was written on Michael Mackert during the time I had filed civil rights complaints against him to The Dean. More evidence that Dr. Rodriguez and the department will do anything to brush any civil rights violation allegations and other major problems under the rug. Although it is not totally under the rug, as most individuals do not believe everything they read in the media by major businesses or corporations. Most people and consumers question and disbelieve the propaganda they read in advertisements and in media anyways.

Let's hope people provide a ton of donations to the ACLU LGBT Project and ACLU Texas to do some legal research into these civil rights complaints. Let's also hope John Stossel, other skeptics, and civil rights leaders whom have no conflict of interest with The University of Texas at Austin will help explore and deal with these legitimate complaints.

More on my experience

- I just wanted to make clear that I do not speak for any other students. I speak for myself.

- In my group project I was put with religious conservatives by professor Mackert. I believe what he did was to intentionally damage my academic and learning experiences, with your understanding that I'm not religious nor conservative at all. I'm obviously liberal. In other words it was sabotage.

- I noticed the other liberals/gays were placed to together in their group projects. I wasn't.

- In my group presentation I was shunned without objective feedback from the professor. He also did not look at my work or grade it. He just took the group's word for it without realizing the damage they were causing.

-The out of class experience where the other classmate was harassing me first which did include snarky and belittling comments in relations to being a sexual minority, which escalated into me being removed from the entire class was completely against my students rights, and went against fair and equal due process even after evidence against me was inconclusive and irrelevant to the actual class. Go count how many of my student rights were violated in the process.

-Regardless if discrimination happened or not, most obvious is that my student rights were violated by this Professor, as well as his supervisors (the seemingly senile yet sneaky Dr. Wilcox) that I believe had input into the situation, also participated in the process.

- I've never met such duplicitous, two faced, fake, and conniving people in my life. Absolutely disgraceful.

continuation of opinion

In continuing to exercise my 1st amendment rights in freedom of opinion with intent to inform of my retrospective opinions and judgments to the highly disappointing quality of education from this class and the department, I'd like to add these bits of information:

-It's my opinion that a lot of the faculty and staff in that department will tell you anything you want to hear in order to manipulate you to some means even if it involves unethical behaviors or behaviors that will hurt somebody's feelings. They also will play any card in order to gain advantage over you if there is a problem. That includes taking sides, playing the victim card, playing favoritism, misuse of power, pretending to be uninformed, pitting people against each other to the university's advantage, creating conflict of interests, and manipulating the environment, etc. These activities appeared to be ongoing and ingrained into their academic environment. This doesn't include everybody but it sure was obvious.

-It's my opinion that self-assessing his own quality of teaching skills and teaching success in regards to students criticizing a social website such as 'facebook' isn't what I consider quality assessment of teaching skills and competence. Anybody could criticize anything, and why not criticize something that isn't already very highly successful, such as businesses' that are failing due to poor business strategy then hold a fair discussion, that would make more sense as a measurement tool than to cut down and criticize an already very popular and profitable website. In my opinion his self-assessment is null and void.

-I personally felt used knowing my ideas were being taken and to be used for organizations or businesses in the community. I don't think that is good teaching and it is exploitative of people's creativity and business strategies. Ideas can make millions of a return, increase profit growth, create expansion of consumer base, and increase efficiency. A lot of times students do not get a return on investment for giving away their amazing business ideas. Go find somebody else that is willing to be used for ideas or better yet develop them on your own.

-It's my opinion there are overtones and undercurrents of Machiavallianism within the university and the department I attended and a lot of students seem to be perfectly fine with learning the duplicitous trade, however, they most likely do not think with universal ethical standards and with sensitivity to all involved. That was obvious to me. I personally would not suggest you attend the university or this department if you are not a person of Machiavellian mentality.

-It's my opinion that they use natural occurring bias, Machiavellian mentalities, chauvinism, and bigotry within the student population to oust out or abuse any harmed, differing, complaining, or individual whom is suspicious of their ways that they think could cause a potential law suit against the university staff, faculty, or administration. Instead of providing equal and fair opportunity for due process for everyone. They provide many obstacles, hurdles, and hoops for you to jump through if you have a grievance, or complaint that might make their staff, faculty, or administration look bad or incompetent. Even if you complain or provide feedback who knows if it is even taken seriously, almost everything I experienced there was duplicitous.
