Complaint Review: Michael Torell Infotrack

Michael Torell , Infotrack Charging customers for installing illegal copies of Microsoft Windows, operating without a valid business love bad Bremerton Washington

I brought my computer(laptop) to Michael Torell at his home address, which is also his business address, to install Windows on my computer, as it was crashing and would not boot up. Not only did Mr. Torell not have a business license to repair computers at the time, but he charged me $60 to install an illegal copy of Windows that kept crashing my computer. Michael left me in his bedroom, was unprofessional, and had papers on his desk (where he was fixing my laptop) in plain view, that identified him as a sex offender on parole in Bremerton, for child molestation. I was pissed, knowing that not only was this criminal screwing up my computer, but he would not provide me with the license key to the Windows copy he installed that kept crashing and had no business license. I called the parole office and business licensing in Bremerton and the State of Washington to report him. I also searched his name on Washington Courts online search, which is public record, and found convictions for Mr. Torell for child molestation (original charge was Rape of a Child, under 12), corporal infliction of injury on a spouse, terrorist threat, robbery, taking a motor vehicle without permission, larceny, DUI and numerous other convictions. I was told he now has a business license and is "legal"; however, in view of his record and deceitfulness, coming across as a regular Joe when he is everything but, i suggest you take your computer to someone honest- Michael is not and did NOT tell me he was instslling an illegal copy of Windows which is why my computer crashed!

I can attest to the fact that Infotack is fully licensed to do computer repair and that they would never jeopardize their business by providing any unlicensed keys or software. Also, i know from personal experience that they only install licensed software and hand you the disks upon installation. There are a myriad of reasons why computers crash, viruses, overheating issues, power supply issues, or just an old computer needing to retire- and sometimes a little extra detective work is required to find the culprit; however, troubleshooting by trial and error is sometimes par for the course, but it shouldn't reflect badly on the tech working hard to fix your problem. Infotrack cares about your satisfaction as a customer, and will resolve your computer issues promptly and courteously- just ask! While these reports cannot fix computer problems, the certified technicians at Infotrack can, and are awaiting your call.

Mr. Frederick, as i previously stated, i do not know where Mr.Torell's business is, i was given his business phone number by my friend at OCC. Also, being a single young woman with a fiance', it is not appropriate for me to track down Michael or any other business ownet. Phone contact should be sufficient enough to decide if a business can meet my needs. I am certain i called the right number, as i verified it with my friend, and certain that a "Mary", identifying herself as Michael's wife, knows who is calling his business line and is sending potential customers rude remarks. I never had the opportunity to talk with Michael- just my friend who referred him; however, reading all the comments made re: a Julie, kids, and very rude remarks made publicly on my complaint, regarding them, who i don't know and who have nothing to do with MY computer issue, i will be sure to forward your comments on my business blogs. I understand no business relishes a complaint; however, publicly attacking people who have nothing to do with it, as mfpeterson did is out of line and unwarranted. No thank you to your unprofessionalism.

On July 4th I visited my family in Washington going through Bremerton I stopped at Starbucks for coffee and to catchup on my email on my Acer computer. My computer screen kept freezing up I had problems with this XP OPS! I was verbal in expressing my frustration and was over heard by Mr. Michael Torell of Infotrack and he said that he could help me his place was a short distance away and he fixes computers.

I entered his office/bedroom which was well kept that had several computers and a work table above it on the wall was a framed Business license plus several boxes of new OPS software. Mr. Torell explained that the price of the software and cost of installing it. So I purchased the software for $100+ and $60 for labor paid up front.  If I would have changed my mind I would just owe him the $60 for labor!

My computer works so much better and the new hard disk gave me more memory storage space! Mr. Torell was honest and very professional he was able to save all my previous programs and files.  I think the above complaint was just an unsatisfied customer that changed his mind half way and didn't want to for the labor charge so he made this slanderous complaint trying to harm Mr. Torell's business. Thanks Infotrack for your helping me out!
