I went to this dental office to have a cleaning. I told the girl at the front desk, Debbie, that I only wanted to have services performed that were covered by my insurance. Either she didn't listen to me or she intentionally submitted insurance charges that weren't covered. All my cleanings are covered but she apparently authorized me to have a cleaning with a code that wasn't covered by my insurance.

Even though I sent letters personally to the doctor to tell him about the problem, I even got a nasty office manager who would not admit to the error. I never got to speak with the doctor. They automatically sent me to collections because I told the office that if they made the mistake, that they would have to eat it.

The clerk Debbie took that to mean something vulgar, instead of a collection term which means to write it off. Debbie lost all professionalism and now just needs to be right. I had an offer from the doctor through the collection agency that they would accept 1/2 the balance. I refuse to pay anything that I don't owe. Needless to say, this is a disputed item on my credit and I will have it removed that way.

This dental office is money hungry and will find ways to bill so they get paid more. I used to work in the dental world and can see through their poor billing standards and practices. Leaving an emotional clerk in charge of the billing is scary, to say the least. The doctor takes no personal responsibility for the errors made at the front desk. She's able to wipe them under the carpet by intimidating less suspecting victims.

Fortunately I have knowledge of credit law and my rights. Other less fortunate victims would be bullied into paying their supposed obligations. Be careful!

well lucky you barbara. unfortunately he only pays back pocket change. this guy can't even answer the phone and he certainly can't finish what he started. he's not a real doctor, at best, a good salesman. whatever you do, don't count on this guy to do the real jobs..cleaning is about as safe as it gets. since stealing peoples' money is his main practice (i'm sure there are other victims), i will create a blog in reference to his rip-off in full detail. for now, i'll just say that this guy charged me fifty thousand dollars for a job he's got someone else doing and we can't complete the proceedure without his cooperation...this guy is a real doosie. i will provide full details if he can't settle this dispute on his own. for now, please be forewarned. i read barbaras' report prior to giving him all this money and once again i just didn't pay attention to the reports i read online. it seems silly to take the word of just one person...

I have great news! I received a call from Dr. Blessitt today with a heartfelt apology. He never knew what Debbie was up to and, thanks to this report, he became aware of her improper front-desk activities. He went to my chart and found everything that Debbie was hiding. Debbie never shared any of the attempts I had made to contact him regarding this problem. The great news is...Dr. Blessitt takes great pride in his practice and does become personally involved when he is made aware of situations. He's very approachable and understanding. I am happy to report that Dr. Blessitt also "corrected" the front desk problem. Debbie is no longer there!!!

Dr. Keith Blessitt was genuinely apologetic and I am forever grateful that he took the time out to make things right for me. I couldn't be happier to report that this practice has a great doctor that genuinely cares about the confidence and welfare of its patients.

Thank you Dr. Blessitt! You have restored my confidence in your practice! Thank you!
