Mike McMath was supposed to install a new starter, change all the fluids. He called after my car was in for a day and said i needed all new brakes which he said included ne brake pads and rotors. He said it was unsafe to drive in the current condition. I am a nurse, so I don’t know much about cars. he said the entire repair would be $1259.00. I told him I thought was expensive and he replied that he already removed the brakes and had ordered the parts.
I felt very pressured so i said yes. My car was not fixed that day and he said it would take another day for the repairs. I had to call a friend to get a ride to my work at the hospital. I would not have had it done it was going to take 2 days. After work I went in to get my car. He said it was done but the price ended up being $1629.00. I was furious but there was nothing I could do.
I went to pay, and he said he did not take credit cards.... he wanted CASH! I didn’t have $1600 dollars. My friend was still outside so she drove me up to the bank where i got the money. I wanted my car and I wanted to get out of there. When I returned my car was outside. He wouldn’t give me the keys until after I paid. I asked for a receipt of the parts and the invoice and he said he would email me all the paperwork.... which never came. He was very creepy, said if I didn’t have all the money, we could work something out.
I did some research on him (after the fact) I know stupid, but he was referred by a friend. Turns out he is in bankruptcy...he has a court date in Aug 2020 for bankruptcy fraud. He has tons of tax liens with the State of Ohio under another company call Medina Automotive. This guy is a real scammer. Michael McMath in Medina court records show lawsuits, take liens all kinds of bad things.
Don’t go here. Stay away. He is a fraud and a scammer.

He did me wrong....ripped me off and now trys and play his games. He harassed me. Was very creepy and wanted to exchange favors for car repair.
What is he talking about. Fake person, out of the country partner or land lord. What does that mean. What are you talking about information, e-mails,
Stop calling me! Stop harassing me! You are a terrible person and a bad business person. Any more calls from you and im going to the police!!!

Well it seems this web of lies will continue. Im not hiding that my former partner and i had problems. This lead to more problems. My biggest issue is that a former landlord is trying to scam me out of money. The former landlord goes by the name of AKA "Mary". Why would some women from medina use an email that is based out of another country when their is so many free ones? Aka Mary is fiction and doesnt have a phone number.
Their vehicle was never in my shop. The fake cost of things they listed is actually funny because it is so incorrect. This person is trying to intimidate me and drag my good name in the mud.. I have emails, voice mails, screen shots and witness statemates to prove my case. My former partner slithered away fast to avoid paying anything. So if you want to believe this report thats your option. Mary is not a women. Mary is as fake as a 3.00 bill. In fact he doesnt live in Medina... These childish games just waste my time away from good customers. Have a wonderful day.
Facts:
A repair shop can not hold a customer vehicle hostage.
If a customer refuses to pay for repairs the police will be called.
I accept all credit cards and many other forms of payment.
I am requied by law to provide an estimate.
Yes I have made people mad. I am human and i have made mistakes, I made some horrible agrements.
Does bad judgement make me a bad person. No just stupid for letting my heart override my head.

This complaint is not fake and is totally correct. Since I posted this complaint Mr. McMath has been calling my phone and threating me unless I take the complaint down. Now he is blocking his number and calling at all hours of the night and hanging up. I have never had a prank call on my cell phone until I posted this complaint. I have turned the information over to the police.
I am not the one who is lying here. Just look up Michael McMath on Medina County Court Docket and you will see lots of lawsuits from several companies that he lost! Look up Medina Automotive and you will see even more lawsuits and tax liens from the state of Ohio for $$ 100,000 of dollars in taxes. Even better indication of his scams and lying look at his bankruptcy filings. One case he stole his tools from SnapOn and his garage equipment from other companies. In his bankruptcy fraud case he lied under oath, hid assets, and was fraudulent in his fillings…its all there. They even found he hid vehicles at his x-wife’s house.
And he was creepy with me. He has a bed in his shop!! What’s that about!!!
This guy should be in jail!

Hello to everyone reading this. I am a small business owner. The person claiming to be Mary is a fictional charter from the mind of my former partner and former ladlord. Both are unhappy with the way they handled things and blame me for picking up the pieces and trying to make a bad thing better. Some of this is true. My former partner and I did have to file bankruptcy. Due to the actions of our former landloard and my partner leaving the company in my lap with a mound of debt from our former business Medina Automotive. After sevel years and serveal thousands of dollars in attorny fee's I was forced to file as well... Mary has never been to my place of business for the repairs stated below because i keep records.
Here are a few facts for everyone to know:
1. I can not leagly force someone to repiar their vehicle. No shop can.
2. I am required by law to give and estimate. I am allowed 10% above an estimate for Incidentals. No customer is required to pay any amount above that. Its wrong, it's a civil matter anyway. I can not legally hold someones vehicle. I also have to provide them with the old parts if they ask. These are laws in ohio to protect merchants and customers. All shops have to follow these. Rember this ...
So if a shop wants you to pay a higher amount you did not agree to and the shop is trying to keep your vehicle hostage then call the police... The laws show that this story is fiction. I know the rules and I am happy they are there.
3. I accept. American currency, Credit Cards, Checks and Paypal. Working on more contactless payment meathods for the future.
4. I do not work on a persons vehicle without their consent. Verbal authorization, Writen Authorization, Text Authorization, Voicemail Authorization and or Email Authorization. Required by ohio law.
5. If a circumstance arrises that a person can not pay, will not pay or credit card is declined I will work with any customer to resolve the issue. If need be the Montville poilice will be contaced to file a report. Because the person not paying for their repairs is a civil matter an i will have to seek help from small claims court. If a customer and myself do not agree on the estimated cost no work is performed. I encourage people to get a second opion.
But this person Mary never came to my shop. Never requested this type of work. In fact Mary is a Man posing as a women who might be in love with me and unstable. Mary has tired to cause me harm over the past year and has cause damage. I have emails, text messages and police reports to back this up. I can even provide photos. I Always Put My Customers First. My reviews and ratings are imporant to me. Thats why I keep getting attacked by people who wish to cause me harm and wish for me to fail.
Stating im a Fraud or a Scammer is slander. I will say this to the fictional person Mary, I am open Monday, Tuesday, Thursaday, Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and 9:00 am to 2:00 on Saturdays. Make an apointment and come to the shop. I will have the police here waiting. Then i can have you arrested for the fenoly Hit and Run from fall of 2019 as well as several other charges from the local PD as well as the Sheriff's Dept And for violating a Federal court order as well.
I am sorry that Potential customers have to read this. Im just a honest small business owner who is trying to help people and make a few bucks. Check my real reviews. Look at my facebook page. If i was so bad people wouldn't drive two hours to have me take care of their vehicle...
