Michele's Rescue Theft, Fraud, illegal activity Grand Rapids Michigan
We have adopted a dog from this rescue from Michele Marie Melvin (Barnes) We never recieved the vet paper work to prove any shots, she does same day adoptions with no background checks on where these animals are going. She also gets dogs and cats shipped to her from Amy Verder in Kentucky from the rescue called Let Them Live Rescue. Michele stated that she was no longer taking dogs from Amy Verder because Amy does not get health Certificates or rabies vaccinations to cross state lines. All this can be proved from another person who fostered and adopted from her. Michele likes to also bad mouth other rescues to just anyone. Thats not working together as a community! I had to get our dog all its shots after trusting Michele had everything done the right way. Michele also used to live in Spring Lake, Muskegon, Grand Haven and is now in the Grand Rapids area.

If you've followed any of the bad press about Melissa West and Amy Smith from Somewhere Over The Rainbow "Resuce," you know they posted this to try and damage yet another reputable legitimate rescue group that turned their backs on them after the "ladies" went crazy. Amy and Melissa do not have their 501c3 so they rely on the help of others who do (like Michele's Rescue) to be able to pull animals from shelters. They have both been fired from jobs and volunteer positions for drinking and or stealing, and have left a trail of destruction in their paths for years. I urge you to google them, check out public records, check out their EXTENSIVE history with animal control before you entertain ANYTHING they say. If you make the unfortunate decision to affiliate with them, the next social media attack could be on you.

I think that all of this actually very much describes SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW ANIMAL RESCUE your Rescue!
You must have gotten confused.
SOTR Rescue - YOU grab dogs that are already spayed/neutered from craigslist and do same day adoptions. I witnessed some of them. You claim to vet all the animals when in reality some are already vetted and the adoption money goes to yourselves. YOU also took animals from Amy in KY and didnt care about rules being broken since you would make money off of them. YOU promised to get them all vetted and never did. YOU bad mouth many rescues and volunteers who have only been there to help you. YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO WORK TOGETHER!
Micheles Rescue is an AMAZING rescue! The proof is in the MANY followers she has....She helped YOU get on your feet. And many are wintesses on how bad you re-paid her.
YOU BOTH should be ashamed of yourselves. You need to just give up and let those animals go to a safe place. You had so many people on your side and you stabbed them in the back. You both are NOT fit to run the rescue not now not ever.
