HORSE BUYERS BEWARE OF MICHELLE COURSIN OF CHESAPEAKE, VA!  SHE IS A COMMON HORSE TRADER, AND HER HORSES ARE MISREPRESENTED, AND NOT WHAT THEY SEEM!! Michelle has a former military background, and she uses this to pretend that she has ethics when she sells horses. She is ANYTHING BUT HONEST. Infact, she did nothing but lie to us the entire time we knew her.  We first met Michelle when inquiring about a pony named "Heidi" for our children.  I have copied the original ad posted below:

Heidi is a 7 year old 13.1hh welsh/hafflinger cross mare. Heidi is easy to handle and quiet undersaddle, kids ride her bareback with just a halter and lead rope no problem. She's a very fancy little girl and would do well with more formal training to become show pony. Heidi is easy to handle, stands well for farrier and vet. She is so quiet and easy that she allowed a handi capped child to ride her. This mare would fit well into a rehab/therapy program. Her only problem is sometimes Heidi can be a little difficult to catch in the field for adults...she will come right up to a child though. This mare is precious and looks even better in person. Her nickname is Dumplin:). Neg. to good home.

After reading that ad, my husband and myself desided to inquire about Heidi. Michelle said nothing but wonderful things about the mare, so we decided to make a trip to go and see her. When we arrived, Heidi was standing tied, and seemed to be abnormally laid-back. Michelle ensured us that Heidi was just "that quiet,"  and we, (like idiots,) believed her.  We decided to purchase the pony, and that was a decision that we would soon regret.  The mare arrived extreamly alert, and quite nervous. Nothing like she was at Michelle's farm. The mare was also a CHRONIC CRIBBER which Michelle conveniently left unsaid.  Heidi got wilder and wilder, and she was not safe for our children.  At first, Michelle would not return our phone calls regarding the horse. Eventually, Michelle's mother (a rude, hag of a woman) returned our calls, and cursed myself and my husbad out. She threatened to call the police for harrassment. .. Acting exactly like the white-trash that she is. After several stern letters from our lawyer, Michelle took the pony back and has her for sale again.  Michelle is completely unprofessional, and she lies more than anyone I have ever met. If she said it was Tuesday, I would have to check a calender.  Anyone interested in doing business with her need be very weary.  She is dishonest, and she misrepresents the horses that she sells. Buyers beware!!

Thompson Moore Must Be Stopped!

#3Consumer Comment

Fri, June 08, 2012

I have found dozens of similar reports on this site which have been authored by Thompson Moore under countless aliases.  There's even one on me.  He also goes onto other similar sites like scaminformer.com and even comments on peoples youtube videos under various aliases.  He is extremely jealous of anyone in the horse industry, even if they don't compete directly with him.  Every word out of his mouth is a lie.  I watched him buy horses at low-end auctions, then turn around and list them on his website a few days later as an "Oldenburg Cross" with all kinds of "Show Points" and pretend he had owned and shown the horse for years.  They were grade "junk horses" who had barely ever been ridden.  His "trademarks" include coflex wrapped tails, and a very specific "pose" of the horse, as well as fabricated claims of being "Oldebergs" or "Holsteiners."  Visit http://www.equestrianlife.com/profile/1000001743000/ and look at the pictures of the horses and you'll know the "pose" which I am referring to.

I haven't seen Thompson Moore in person in years.  *He was basically "run out of" Orangeburg, SC after countless horse related complaints and issues.  He surfaced briefly in Upstate SC before disappearing.  He used to operate under "Old Orchard Farm" with the website www.oldorchardhorses.com (It no longer exists).  When he moved to the Upstate, he used "Old Orchard Farm" for a while, but later changed to "Mallard Springs Farm" in an attempt to re-brand himself and leave his past indescressions behind.  Dispite his apparent absence from the horse community over the past couple of years, he continues to mount his efforts to smear other horse professionals for his own twisted enjoyment.

When confronted about his lies and insane behaviors, Thompson Moore will threaten you with a lawsuit.  That's his Modus operandi.  Don't worry, he doesn't have an attorney, or the money to get one.  Besides, you are in no danger of loosing a lawsuit when you only tell the truth about him.

I have been rather amused by the following "threads" about Thompson Moore over the years.  Read them for yourself and draw your own conclusions:
http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300540
as well as this one:
http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185622
I especially enjoy the closing comment from the site moderator who states: "UPDATE: Our apologies for not being able to determine earlier, but bellfordfarms does in fact share an IP address with a recently created account "ThomsonMoore" as well as "ilovemyhorses87."  "

By this point in his life, you would have expected that Thompson would have matured beyond the point of lying, smearing, and name calling.... all of which he does under aliases to hide his true identity.  He frequently calls his targets "UGLY," "FAT," "NEEDS PLASTIC SURGERY," ETC... and he loves to make up silly names for them.  He claims that people are obsessed with him, yet he's the one that continues to post on people's youtube accounts or lie about them on ripoffreport.com years after ever being in contact with that person.

I recommend that anyone who has dealt with Thompson Moore and had him smear their name post a reply to this report with a link to the ripoffreport that he has written about you, so that we can doccument what a crazed lunatic he is an an effort to remove the power of anonymity that he tries to operate under.

The real M. Plumley that bought a horse from Michelle

#3Consumer Comment

Wed, June 08, 2011

I am M. Plumley and want to set the records straight that I am NOT the MPlumley that has posted this report. I believe my first initial and last name have been used to create a misrepresented situation due to dealings with a third party that may wish to cause problems.

I did buy a mare from Michelle Coursin ( through an agent/friend of hers ) in 2010. I believe that this mare's problems/vices were accurately disclosed to me within their knowledge, such as being a cribber. Upon further vet exams and unfortunate experiences another issue was discovered that affected the mare, but I do not believe this was known by either Michelle or her agent as the cause was nerve damage in the esophogus from a botched surgery. The timeline of Michelle's ownership was not long enough for this type of surgery to be completely healed as it was when I purchased her. I had her scoped and it appeared that the damaged area had been long healed with scar tissue.

So as far as my dealings with Michelle and other parties go, I am confident that this report is less than sincere.
