I hired them to do an addition to my house. 2 bedrooms. They sent out their new guy all by himself whom we did not know only had about 3 weeks experience until he told us when he was almost done with our addition. 3 of the 4 windows are noticeably crooked and the north floor suddenly drops off an inch and a half, maybe a forgotten stud, i am not sure.

The east wall was missing a stud, which we did not know until we were hanging drywall on the ceiling (12 foot sheets very heavy) and there was nothing to attach the drywall to. The studs that are there are crooked. They put them on 24 inch centers and some of them are 22 some up to 27 and so on. Very hard to find when you are doing drywall and think they are going to be straight like they should be. We have called him repeatedly over the last week and for the first few days he was really busy and couldn't make it out, but then would give us a call when he could come out to take a look and now he won't even answer his phone or return calls.

How can I deal with your floor being 4 inches out of level with doorways in the wall? A 1 inch step in one door and a two inch step in the other? That would be a trip hazzard and ther would be a report on my unsafe building. I still stand behind the way I handeled your building.

Forgot to add one thing. I have been told by numerouse people that my addition should not have been built to match the existing crookedness, but should have been straight and true and dealt with in front of the doorways.

..and no the floor did not match up. you were not there to show me, the guy who did the work was there. The floor did get fixed, thank you for that, but almost 5 weeks after we first started calling you about it and only after we decided to hang up flyers about it and my husband called and left you a message about it as a warning for one last chance. and yes you gave us a wood floor, because the cement didn't match up on the outside of the house like it was supposed to. the window boxes were level, yes we checked them but the windows were hung crooked. I do not lie and i am not going to publicly let you either.

The fact that their existing home was about 100 years old and was 4 inchs out level in 24 feet, on the side we added to was left out. I was informed that the floor was out of level, and told the home owners it matched their existing home. I was called a lier. We had to go ther to show them, and it did in fact match their house. Free of charge I changed it. The ceiling and roof system was raftered, which made the ceiling joist 24" to the first one on one side, and 25 1/2" on the other. The job was bid with a concrete floor. I not only gave them that, but upgraded them, for only the charge of the insulation, a wood floor whitch is better. I also passed the framing inspection done by local building inspectors. I stand behind all work, and use only quality materials. The windows were provided by the homeowners, they are set level, but I can do nothing about how they look.
