MichiganMicrotech Directech Directv Satellite installation LIES Novi Michigan
Directv has a company (Directech) who installs Satellite tv for them. They then subcontract it out to Michigan Microtech. Install supposed to be Fri Nov 23rd from 8am to noon. I call 248-662-9874 at noon to see where my installer is. I was told that "I am calling the installer now...He will be there by 12:30pm. 12:40pm I call again and am told that we told you by 2:30 (Lie #1), they told me 12:30 and wrote down 2:30 in their book. I tell them 2:30 is unacceptable so the installer is called again..."Sir he will be there in 5-10 minutes at most. (#2) The installer calls approx 35 minutes later for directions. Hmmm, you can see where this is headed.
Installer shows up approx an hour and forty minutes later to do a substandard job. When I find out that I need more than 1 reciever to watch on more than 1 tv (with Dish you don't). When I asked for more recievers I was told it would be a hassle for him and it would be easier to order later. WRONG. I called Directv and was told It would be $140 dollars for 2 more recievers.
After talking to customer service and a supervisor, then a retention specialist it was decided that the Installer should have made a new order and installed what I wanted at the time. A new appointment was set for Monday Nov 26 between 8am and 12 to install the new recievers.(#3) I was called by the second installer about 8am and was told I was next.
I was called by Michigan Microtech next inquiring if I talked to an installer. I told her I did and he said before noon. Said customer service person then writes down on her lie sheet that I was notified that installer would be there by 2:30. When I call at noon to inquire where the installer may be I was told that "You were notified by my supervisor that he would be there by 2:30. (#4). Supervisor of course unavailable so I call installer directly who calls right back and will be here shortly. Competent installer shows up installs correct equipment, and then goes back to the dish to fix previous installers misdirected dish. Thanks Directv, Directech and Michigan Microtech.
