Complaint Review: Micro Center

After checking into the prices and spec of several 37" LCD HDTV's, I found that the View Sonic 3760W had the best bang for the buck and that the local retailer Micro Center had the lowest price. When I finally found a salesman that was not playing a video game, I asked if I could purchase the View Sonic from him. His name was Hassan Tony Benlemlih. I told him that I had only one concern and that was I wanted a HDTV that worked with my DirecTv HDTV system and that would be controlled by the same remote that controls my DirecTv H20 HDTV receiver. "Tony" assurred me that the View Sonic was controlled by the DirecTv remote and even told me to write it down on the receipt as he stood behind everything he told to his customers. Guess what? The DirecTv remote will not work any View Sonic TV. On top of that, the View Sonic TV that he sold me was over one year old, and had a firmware version that had since been updated twice. The result - I can not even watch my local Columbus OH HDTV off aitr broadcasts due to this and now I have to pay to have the set sent via RMA to View Sonic to have the firm ware updated so that I can actually watch the local HDTV signals from an off the air antenna.
