Laptop

Toshiba Satelite

Second time for repair on simular issue with in 4 months.

Purchased at Wal-Mart

First repair was a sucess and had no issues. Computer had blue screens then later lost complete power, they replaced the hard drive and presto it was fixed.

Four months later went to turn on laptop and had no power what so ever. No flashing lights or anything. I had noticed the power drainage and asumed it was the battery going out. It wouldn't charge 3/4 of the time or hold one.

They sent me out a new power cord to test that out since my current one was mangled. I got the power cord and there was nothing but failure. So I filed another claim and they sent me my box.

Once they received it they took pictures of the laptop and said there was a crack in the bottom case. And that due to the accidental damage to the dc port that it needed to be replaced and a new bottom case had to be installed.

Warrenty will not cover anything that is physically damaged even though they looked at micromedics pics of my laptop, and found no cracks. I was charged $170 for my repairs. They sent me my laptop back and guess what???? It still has no power to it!!!!

I knew it was the motherboard and not the dc port that needed replaced. Any idiot knows that!

CSR told me that they are to have a manager sign off on every repair to make sure it is in working condition before shipping it back to the customer. They didn't even look to see if it was working or not!!!!!!!!!!

When I called them to tell them not to bother with fixing the dc port to fix the motherboard they demanded that I pay for a new base and dc port. They said it was deffinately not the motherboard.

I called them back to get my money back because they made an unnecessary repair on my computer. And also the fact they put a bottom case on there that was all scuffed and scratched up. She told me that they can give me a refund and put back on my old bottom case. But they can't repair what else might be broken AND give me a refund.

I told her to just send me a box  and I'll have it sent back for further repairs. Later I decided I just want to have it repaired elsewhere. I called Wal-Marts tech support for warranty and they sent me to a scheduling department and will have someone else repair my laptop.

I hope its not another micromedics repair place.
