I purchased Office 365 – Home addition about 4 years ago.  I changed my website to GoDaddy about 2 years ago and they insisted that I use Outlook, business addition, to properly use their email services.  I did not have any problems.

On or about September 26th I purchased an iPad and, because I could put the Office 365 on 5 computers, I tried to put it on the new iPad.  The iPad could not load the programs correctly because I had the Business version of Outlook in from your system.  I spent a couple of hours trying to find out the problem.  Finally, I called: (800) 642-7676, got lucky and talked with a customer service representative that spoke pretty good broken English.

This person tried to help me and told me that I needed to be moved up to a Level 2 because it was above their level of help.  I was transferred and put on hold.  No one ever answered.  I called again and was told that the Level 2 would contact me on a given date, about 5 days into the future to offer help, I could call back and try to connect.  Seeing as how I needed your software, because MicroSoft dominates the industry, I called back a number of times.  After being on hold the low-level person transferred me to the Level 2 where I was on hold between 30 minutes to 2 hours, I would then give up!   I have figured out that Level 2 is when you put the client on hold and never answer figuring they would eventually give up!

I had a conversation with GoDaddy and shared with them my experience. GoDaddy was able to add the balance of your Office 365 software as a Business subscription (it wasn’t free).  Finally, I got a call from, I believe, an America employee because they spoke good English. I told them to immediately terminate the Home addition, assuming they would know what to do.

All was well on my laptop until I needed to reboot.  When I rebooted the message on all of the 365 applications stated that my subscription to the Home addition had expired, and I would have to purchase again.  I deleted all of the application and reinstalled and the same message kept coming up that my Home addition had expired, could not use any of the programs. Basically, it eliminated me from sending and receiving emails and all other services I used (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Since I could not fix the problem, I regrettable had to call Microsoft.  Same story, on hold – told it was being transferred to the Level 2 (perpetual hold).  The last time I was on hold for about one hour and 45 minutes and decided to call (on my cell phone) a local young man that has helped me in the past.  I promised him that I would pay him $100.00 if he could fix the problem.  He got on my computer, and in less the 15 minutes had the problem fixed.  It was then that I hung up on your perpetual hold.

Sent a Certified letter to MicroSoft - after 30 day I never got a response.  To try to get my $100.00 back, I would have to file a claim in Redmond, Washington (King County) and if they wanted to protest the case I would have to leave the Atlanta area and go to THEIR court.  Microsoft basically has the market on this type of software contained in Office 365. “Screw the little people” must be an internal philosophy.  Very, very disappointed with their "no service"  We little people must be passive and let Microsoft take advantage of us!  Hope Apple continues to grow - they provide "excellent" service, just not sure how compatible their "Pages" and "Numbers" would be if you sent it to a person using Microsoft 365!

SHAME, SHAME on Microsoft!
