Microsoft XBOX 360 Game Console Repair Issues - red light and scratched discs McAllen Texas
If you are thinking about buying a XBOX 360 console read all of the complaints out there and PLEASE do NOT buy one.
If you own a XBOX 360 beware. If it is giving you any problems return it before the warranty runs out. Google the 360 console and read all of the repair issues that people have encountered. I only use mine about 2 hours a week and I never stop having problems.
Yes the warranty has been extended to try to do damage control but if you ever need to call for a repair you will be on hold forever and they do not repair "your" console. They send you a different USED console that you do not know about. My new console was new - only 3 months old. My replacement console was old and made bad and loud disk/motor noises from day one and scratched multiple games (each game cost me $60). I bought Call of Duty 4 and it only lasted one week in the disk eating 360 machine. Microsoft is going to repair/replace my second 360 with another used unit (my third) so wish me luck. Note that Microsoft will NOT replace disks that are one week old and were damaged by their console. I have asked for a supervisor on three occasions (3 calls) and either been accidentally hung up on or I have been left on hold for more than a hour.
At least with this article you have the phone number and mailing address to return your 360 if you are in the same situation. The phone number is hard to find on-line and the operators do not speak very good english so you will need the mailing address.

After 2 weeks of fighting with customer service through 1-800-4my-xbox, I researched also. I came up with a company Jabil Circuit and the phone number and address are listed. But before I called the company, I googled Jabil and found the article above and the response to it. Out of my own curiosity and frustration of never being able to reach the "repair center" for microsoft, I called it...... I followed the directions to a "t" and dialed the # then pressed 0 after the "mexican" messege, and low and behold a lady answered the phone, so I asked for door 18.... HA! Repair Center at it's finest! I swear Microsoft should be a little more helpful to their customers who spend thousands per year. Honesty is the best policy, and you are looking very shady as mentioned before my post. I wish there were other companies that could make some of the items that they make so that I could purchase from them instead.

PLEASE...contact the press, especially 48 hours. They do the investigations and hidden camera stuff. We need a nationally televised event to stop these people from ripping off america!

I am not rebuttaling your rip off report. In fact I completely agree with you. I want to share some information that I dug up personally. Contact information Directly to the repair center in McAllen, TX. I asked for it but they wouldn't give it to me. So, I did a little research and called some numbers posing as an employee and I got the info. It will also let you in on how shady microsoft is. Call 1 of 2 numbers.
1. 956-994-8223 then dial ext. 2276 the lady will answer "microsoft"
2. This is the shady one. It is disguised as a personal cell phone of some mexican. Call 956-683-0698 and let it ring...then you will here some mexican's voice mail come on...when it does press 0 and you will be directed to an operator...ask the operator for "door 18" the lady will answer "microsoft". How shady is this? Disguising your number as a personal cell phone. They are a bunch of crooks and thieves.
