Our small family of 3 checked-in on a Monday afternoon in April 2012, the room was small but clean.
our stay was supposed to be for two weeks- The apartment community in which we live is doing plumbing upgrades and so, at there expense- we went to the hotel to stay while the plumbing construction at the apartments was being done.  This one week stay here was not our expense, we didn't pay for this hotel from our pocket- the Apartments paid. So, when I stress to everyone about the hotels poor service..... I really mean it-

On wednesday of our 1st week, upon returning to the hotel from work, i requested at the front desk that we get some fresh towels and linens, and perhaps the trash changed out. The woman working this particular day was not excited to assist or help with my request, only stating to me that they did not have a housekeeping schedule, but she would send someone up with towels and to get the trash.

Thursday... I returned to the hotel from work again, only to find NO service was done. I returned to the front desk again, only to find someone else working this day- Well, this lady had a tiny bit more ambition than the first woman i spoke with on wednesday. I explained our situation that we really wanted some fresh towels and the trash needed to get thrown out. I was flattered again with the promise of someone coming to do these things for us, only to my dismay nothing was done.

Friday- on friday I returned to the hotel at 10:30am to pick up the family for lunch and aan appointment. well, well, well.... wouldn't you know it- the room was STILL not cleaned, no fresh linens, no fresh towels, and the trash still piling up! What a poor choice of hotels for someone to have to pay for. Again, we didn't have to pay for the hotel, it was paid for by the apartment community where we're living. (the hotel was provided for a place to stay during the plumbing inconveniences taking place at the apartment)

Friday, I complained to the front desk. the african american woman working on this morning was just rude and provided no solutions to our situation, basically stating that they dont have housekeeping for occupied rooms.  Well if this is the case, then wouldn't a room be dirty once someone checks out? The Microtel actually charges for extra cleaning when we checked out on friday--   We stayed for 1 week. we would have stayed the full 2 weeks however because they didnt have housekeeping, we switched hotels. (now at the Hampton....thank god)

so, after staying at the room for 1 week, with the same towels, linens, and trash piling up, and some left-over food in the tiny bar sink- the Microtel says the room was extra dirty.  Hmmm, allow me to go out on a limb here.... so I stay at a hotel for a whole week and you think it will be as clean as when I checked in?? sure, that could be possible---- IF YOU HAD HOUSEKEEPING to provide service.  At the Microtel Inn & Suites in Canton GA you will get terrible service. Yes, they will accept your money to rent a room, and yes, the room might even look decent---but, watch out!

These little scam artists will dive into your wallet for some bs "extra" charges. Luckily for me and my family, we're pretty optimistic. We know that Karma will come around and take care of those folks..... and if we're lucky, we'll get to watch.  Theres a decent selection of hotels in Canton, I wouldnt recommend the Microinn though, unless you want to waste money-- regardless who's paying. Thank you for reading this story and I hope this will help.
