I purchased transmition for a honda in april 2007, the tranny has a three year warranty both verbally, in writing and on there web site, the tranny was bad on install, this company made us bring car for a second oppinion and refused to pay diog fee. The tranny was proven defective leaving my customer car less for two weeks, 9 month later tranny went bad again, Mid atlantic refuses to honor there warantee, The tell us the company they purchased tranny from isnt in bussiness any longer, We bought this product from mid atlantic engine, They told us they build trannys them self and now they say there not responsable Feel free to contact us with any Questions Tires plus (((ROR REDACTED)))

I am having the same issue and have taken the resident agent, Paul Daily Jr, to small claims court. Not court date as of yet but just filed two weeks ago. The information I got off of the Maryland Taxation and Assesment Web Site for Power TrainProducts is listed below.

We believe the company is still owned by Paul Daley of Lothian, MD. He was the owner of Midatlantic Engines and on January 1 2008 changed the company name to Powertrain Products. He did this to try to avoid covering the product he sold which came with a 3 year warranty. The business is still at the same address, and has the same phone #. We believe that currently the company is still owned by Paul Daley and still operates using the same bank account and tax id # as Midatlantic. There should be some recourse if you personally sue Paul Daley or file suit against the "new owner" Eddie Symonds of Pasadena, MD, who has worked for Paul for many years. Somehow these two are working together to get rich by scamming the consumer.

I have the same problem. I got a default judgment against them and now they claim that they are out of business. Could you tell me the name, docket number, and court for the case you filed? I think there may still be some recourse.

This company sells engines, trannsmitions and other auto relaited parts and wont warranty anything they sell. They changed there name as soon as i filed suite againt them DONT BE FOOLED THERE NOW POWERTRAIN PRODUCTS INC!! RIP OFF
