Signed the contract for 25 beige windows and burnished slate metal roof on 0ctober 1, 2014.  Set work to begin on the windows and roof for. Nov 11-14,2014. Took time off work to be at the house while windows being installed. the week before the work to begin salesman Keith stein called and said the windows came in but they are white. We can wrap them I the beige but your grids will still be white. If you want to begin next week I will take 2000.00 off the bill for the wrong color. I thought about it and decided I had the time off and wanted the work done by thanksgiving. I asked about the building permit and they had not gotten it, but I could go down and apply for it if I was concerned , and they would reimburse me for it, I did apply for it. I would say that Mid-Carolina is known for not apply for the required permits since the crew was greatful I had it so that the work would not be interrupted by a stop,work order by the city.

the installers show up and inform me they picked up the wrong windows but a difrent crew was bringing the right windows to them. They start taking out my exisiting windows. No tarps down and they are just breaking the glass everywhere litters of wood flying. my home was buinplt in e 30's and Keith assured me that lead paint practices and safety would be followed. Crew was barehanded, and no masks and not taking any care to minimize the mess inside or outside of my home.  I call mid -Carolina and leave a message for Keith to call me about my concerns.  3 hours later he had not returned my call so i sent a text message to him and he finally responded and made the crew put dpwn tarps and came out to the house and they had installed the first window but the grids were not present. Keith said he would work on the issue and wanted to see my copy of the contract to see of grids had been orders and they were.  the crew could not come on the 12th they had to finish a job that the windows were orderd wrong on but they would be back on the 13 th.  They came back on the 13th and 14th to finish installing the grideless windows but showed me how the pa els come out to swap them for the grided panels.  3 weeks later I called Keith to find out what could be done about the grids, he offered to super glue vinyl trim work to the windows, I did not accept that and he had to reorder windows. The crew had broken the window trim and didn't say anything about it, they were out 3 times to fix windows, caulk the gaps and replace the panels with no grids to windows with grids.

the roof was delivered the week before thanksgiving and was the right color, the roof was started the Friday before thanksgiving this subcontractor only works Monday to Friday no Weekends or holiday so even if it rained 4 days during the week before, he didn't come work on Saturday or Sunday since the weather was nice.. It took until the first week in February2015  to finish the roof that I was told would take 4 to 5 days max.  They left the roofing materials all over the yard and my steps were covered with wood that had nails sticking out of it and even the lunch bags and drinks of the the crew. I had to ask Keith to get them to clean up Daily. I have pets and children plus I need to get in and out of. My house. I'd like to do,so without a nail in my foot. I had to check behind everything they did. In December they pulled out trim work at the roof edge and it left the attic with  exposed areas large enough for squirrels to crawl i. And  even sending them pictures and spasking that the cover them up it was left open for weeks on end. I would not recommend this company For the work ethic alone.  The products are very nice and my roof looks great but to live with 2 months of debris that could have been stacked up neatly and watching for nails on the steps made this a nightmare. Mr stein has started a character attack against me when I askwd for copies do the certification for the energy tax credit when I was starting to file my taxes and he took it to a very personal level, no professionalism In him. So as long as your willing to accept his work on his terms and have no questions or concerns you are great but when you voice a concern or need hi to do something he normally does. Not due the. You are difficult and miserable to work with.  It is unfortunate that the office staff is unable to assist or relay an important message to the crews or the salesmen and that the salesman does not seem to care
