Complaint Review: Mid-City Auto Salvage And Parts

This man first of all represents himself as something quite different on the internet, as if the website "searches" for a company with your part. Somehow its always Mid-City Salvage that has it....

What happened to my daughter was a nightmare, she was alone living in Charlotte with a 1 1/2 yr old and no car thanks to this company. We ordered a transmission, took almost TWO months to get it instead of "less than 10 days" as promised. They delivered it twice to California, instead of North Carolina, he told me bluntly UPS CHANGED THE ADDRESS ON THE BOX!!!!!

She had to put up enough money to pay for a transmission twice while she (and I) attempted to get it straighted out. Ended up getting it locally for less than half Shauwn's price anyway!

Shawn told us off, ignored, cussed and did some pretty unprofessional things, such as lying to the credit card company. FORTUNATELY we had records, particularly the UPS records which only proved to VISA that he was lying even more. That and copies of complaints from the BBB and here made it pretty easy to get a refund, EVENTUALLY. BUT it took months and my daughter ended up buying a car instead, so now she has a car payment IN ADDITION to the months of stress and being broke.

This company is the NUMBER 1 RIP-OFF on the internet as far as I am concerned, and I have been on the internet since 1983. I have a 24 hr connection and order everything except groceries online.
Eventually his Karma will come back to HAUNT him.
