I was due for a routine oil change at the end of December at my local Sacramento Midas. Fifty dollars was charged for labor according to my invoice.  It also says on my invoice that it was supposed to include the "Midas Touch Maintenance Package" it was never done because my car overheated several months after this, and I discovered that the radiator had no coolant in it at all (completely dry).   I could have completely destroyed the engine in my car, by overheating it several times (I admit to this mistake). After paying someone else to fix my car it cost almost $1,500.  Now this neighborhood Midas closed in May 2012, but they still send me junk mail for discounted oil changes at their closed address in Sacramento is the only place where the coupons are valid. I am all in the interest of staying green and saving trees, so I don't need the worthless coupons being sent to my home address. So I guess my advice would be to beware of what your invoice says next time you visit your local neighborhood Midas store and question these things it could be your safety at risk.
