midas Midas Auto repair trying to rip off my wife for brakes. richmond, Virginia
my wife went in because her brakes were squealing and they gave her an estimate of $900 for her 1997 windstar van, so she called me crying and i told her to just tell them to give it back. midas was not going to let her leave the shop telling her it was not safe to drive it then
charged her $50 bucks to put the wheels back on.
i being a previous mechanic did a brake job replacing 1 rotor and 1 rear drum and 1 wheel cylinder and all 4 sets of brake pads/shoes. total cost $120 + 2 hours labor.
the $120 even included a thermostat/antifreeze and new brake spring pliers.
she should have learned the last time they wanted $850 for an exhaust pipe.
what is this country coming to...
