Midas Muffler Winter tires installed without balancing or checking air pressure Scarborough, Ontario
Stopped in at Midas for Winter Maintenance special - to include balancing mounted winter tires. Mechanic called me into shop to say wheels needed balancing, had to point out to employees it was included! When I got the car back - Windshield washer was not topped up
- Wheel weights had rust, obviously not balanced
- Tire pressure was 20 PSI, lowered for storage Contacted office and asked for manager, explained situation to her. Her reply was that she had witnessed mechanic do work, and how do I know the tire pressure is low? Contacted Midas head office, "manager" from Eglinton Midas called me to say he was away on the day in question and was there anything he could do (free brake service?) to satisfy me. If the mechanics can't do the proper work in the first place - not interested in returning.
