Midland Credit Management Inc Pay by the end of the work day or a court filing will be made San Diego California
I received a phone call at home from Midland Credit Management Inc, The individual caller Justin Daniels informed me that I owed $2,000 for a cash advance loan that was made some tome before 2011 and that if I paid the debt off today the debt amount would be reduced to $201.
I informed him that I declared Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in April 2013 and therefore any and all debts hade been discharged by the state of Maryland up to that date.
Justin Daniels then told me that if I did not make payment of $201 by the end of the day that MCM would proceed with court proceedings.
Sincerely,
Paul

Sounds like that collections agency is violating the discharge injunction from your Ch 7.
Make sure you send another notification to them in writing. You may want to get a consumer attorney that is used to doing these type of letters. Since they have violated the discharge by contacting you, they would be responsible for attorney fees and it is possible you can end up with some funds in your pocket due to their violation. Research this and contact knowledgeable attorneys that handle this type of case. Download a copy of your credit report to make sure it isn't on there.
The only way these collectors are going to learn is if the consumers slap their hands with a lawsuit for these type of violations. Your bankruptcy is public record. They are just assuming you are going to lay down and take it. Don't let them step on you. Good luck - I hope it results in a payday for you and punishment for Midland.
