Im being billed by midland credit for a bill I paid year's ago. this bill is from cross country bank. they are telling me they bought the bill from o.s.i llc. who I cannot find anywhere,they are listing the owner as MRC RECEIVABLES CORP.((GEE IMAGINE THAT. MIDLAND CAN'T TELL ME WHO MRC IS OR WHERE I CAN FIND OSI.LLC. MCM HAS ANOTHER ADDRESS TO SEND MONEY TO.. AERO BLVD. SAN DIEGO CA. SUITE 200

This is a scam!! This "debt" has been passed around so many times by junk debt buyers, they have no documentation to "validate" as required in court.
Do not speak with any collector on the phone. Ever! Demand everything in writing and only communicate via certified mail/return reciept requested.
Send a DEBT VALIDATION request by the means above and first demand proof that they own it or have the right to collect it, along with proof that they are licensed to collect in the state they are operating in as well as the state you live in.
Then clearly dispute the debt, and demand a full itemization of charges and an account history.
Chances are you will never hear from them again.
